He needs to make some plays on the ball but i'll take another Terrence Newman type of guy here.

Newman was always criticized here because he didn't make big plays but the thing was he never gave them up either.

He went several years without allowing a WR to score a TD. I'll never forget the Steve Smith game where he got so frustrated he got himself ejected.

Byron Jones is a pick or 2 away from being right there as a mainstream guy but right now lets just let him be the Dallas Cowboys best kept secret.

All of those guys who are better then him he is the same type of athlete as all of them if not better. Just make some plays on the ball and then he goes bigtime.

Yeah, it is.

Let me get this straight. You think Byron Jones is purposely putting himself out of position, because he'd rather knock a ball down than attempt an interception? That's what you think you're seeing? Can you give me one example I can go back and look at?

Everyone was hating on the guy when he was being bounced around and expected to cover for 5 minutes, while the guys up front couldn't pressure the QB. They thought just because he killed in the combine, he should be Superman....or they thought because he came from UConn, he couldn't run with the big dogs.
I've liked him from the start, and I'm glad to see him changing minds.

Amazing what happens when proper coaching comes into play.

"Torched a few times" - describe these times?

"Single handidly lost the Htown OT" do people know what single handEdly even means?

For those keeping track. Byron gave up zero receptions while recording a tackle in overtime during the Houston game

His hands are made of stone. It's obvious why he chose defense over offense.

Wish it wasnt the case, but I've accepted it. Hopefulky he keeps tipping to teammates

One of the first cases I've seen where the DB prefers not to be in perfect position so that he only needs to bat the ball down instead of go for the INT.
If he could catch he'd be a receiver, wouldn't he?

Hopkins was his man all the way he got burned I saw him in full chase mode, stop defending him..I said he was good but still has ways to go to be called TOPS..he went from about tobe cut bust man to starting CB playing very well..baby steps Ive see it few times where hes been in chase mode , beat but not many..

Anthony Brown was covering him. So you weren't watching cloesly.

And you also dodged my questions. He was never going to be cut, and was never a bust.

"Stop defending him" Stop making **** up and I wont have to

found his calling...we have to pay the man

Is this a contract year? If so we may need to franchise him. We've been so critical of our tight wad front office as of late, but credit to the home grown talent. It makes it worth not spending on someone else's players.

Although Id like to cut out signing a handful of bargains and get a real player or two for the same total cost.
