I'm no expert on Thornton, but there's a big difference between playing 3-4 DE and lining up over a OG at DT in the 4-3. Think Hatcher as JAG at 3-4 DE; remember Hatcher the DT who wrecked havoc? Then back to 3-4 DE in DC--JAG. I'm not saying Thornton will have a year like Hatcher had, but he started most of his career in Philly, and now he's a 4-3 DT.
