man is a freak of nature i think he worth a number 1

If he's a freak of nature, he won't be there at pick 22...

For that matter, if he's there at pick 21, do you REALLY think the Skins will pass on him, with their desperate need for help on the DL??

Forget about him, the Boys have no shot at him...

If he is around at the 22nd spot do we take him?

6'8 DE U Miami

Right now he's projecting to be a 1st-2nd round pick, His stock feel from his average JR season. Wade Phillips isn't happy with our D-line doesn't think theres any one who he feels they have to be on the field at all times. Could this guy fall to us and if he did should we snag him?

You can't have the Dingle from WVU without the Berry. :D

we have to many more important positions to worry with....like WR, CB, RB, SS in that order.

I wanna hear more about this little nugget. Did you just make this up or have I been so out of it I missed Wade saying this?

Seems to me we just extended Ratliff, Canty played very well this year, and Fergie is Fergie.

The fact that we rotate DLmen doesn't mean there's no one who merits being on the field at all times.

Don't know much about him, but if he's outright number one on our board then sure. However, if there is a need position on the board rated about the same then no. I just hope Jerry sews up some holes before draft, so if a stud falls to us we can take him regardless of position.

I forgot when he said it but it was some time during the year at one of the press confrences at the end of the game. If we could generate pressure with out blitzing our guys off the edges that would be an extreme advatange i could see this guy getting 8+ sacks a year.

Whats with the hatred of the U players I see guys like Andre Johnson Ed Reed Jeremy Shockey Kellen Wilson Bubba Franks Ray lewis Sean Taylor R.I.P. Clinton Portis and the list goes on.

This guy is a lot better than what you guys give him credit for and he is an athelte considering he used to play TE and became a DE he would be a good edition.

You guys realize that he's NOT going to get 10 sacks a year in our scheme, right? I mean you realize it's not the job of our DE's to pass rush? That's why they use the OLB's, and the occassional ILB blitz, to get the majority of their sacks.

No not many around here do, maybe 5% know this secret:shush:

This is quite obvious however, that doesn't mean hour DE's should only have 3 sacks in a season at the most. That is horrible play. What happened to all the hype that our D was saying how they attack more and Parcelss was holding them back and numbers should go up (Spears). I think spears is a dud honestly a long with Carp he needs to play in a 4-3 system. We should be able to generate more pressure from the D-line. Everyone getting all over our secondary but our lineman generate little to no pass rushing ability and yet your content with that. If one person on our line would fould teams to keep thier TE to block or keep thier RB to block that makes our pass rush even better. If we can get a DT tackle that required to be double teamed that would open up so much. Our lil is the weakest part of our defense IMO and needs improvement

I'm not content with anything but that's besides the point.:D

We have glaring needs in other areas and unless somebody spectacular was on the board with our 22nd pick, we'd be best going CB/WR IMO..

Well i think having a strong D-Line is better than having a strong Secondary. WR isn't a glaring need and could be put of untill next year where we could get Micheal Crabtree. CB could be handled with the second pick if and only if Leodis Mcklevin isn't there. I think RB is more importn than WR seeing how JJ,TT are gone and MB3 is a RFA this year hopefully some1 grabs him when we tender him.

Well you're going to be sorely disappointed pretty much every year in this system cause you're simply not going to see our DEs get many more than 3 sacks in a season. If you're lucky, and they're just having an outstanding year, you might get 5-6.

We lost in the play offs because we had 2 gimps in there and a #3 with the dropsies. TO is getting old ya know, should we wait till the old boy is gone before we draft his potential replacement?

So i guess Shaun Phillips was lucky to have 7 sacks under Wade Phillips i see what your saying.

TO shows no sign of age and we can get his replacement next year like i said Michael Crabtree do you even know who that is ? Our loss in the playoffs had nothing to do with our personnel as opposed to the scheme that was drawn up and starting MB3 and running him 21 times in the first half and not letting TO exploit the joke ofo a secondary that the giants had.

Isn't Shaun Phillips an OLB? I was pretty sure he played OLB and not end, but that might have just been this year.

Shaun Phillips plays OLB.

I think he was trying to refer to Castillo, but doesn't know the San Diego players....
