Doesn't matter.Downs is the best football player in the draft. Not even close.
If the best player in the draft was a kicker, would you take him in the first round?

Probably the Bain truthers.100%, some of the delusional comments and takes I was talking in OP are in this very thread

You consider kicker a football player.Doesn't matter.

Good job ducking the question. You consider kicker a football player.![]()

Picking him at 12 would be well worth it. Walk in starter. Defensive version of Booker last year but better.Good job ducking the question.
The point is that positional value matters. Safeties don't have positional value.
Not really. Guards are far more valuable than safeties.Picking him at 12 would be well worth it. Walk in starter. Defensive version of Booker last year but better.
I would argue Downs skill set is significantly if higher value than Booker / Guard.Picking him at 12 would be well worth it. Walk in starter. Defensive version of Booker last year but better.
The really good ones doGood job ducking the question.

wow, just wowNot really. Guards are far more valuable than safeties.
I don’t know about that. Teams win with mediocre guards all the time. Not really. Guards are far more valuable than safeties.
They win with mediocre safeties...I don’t know about that. Teams win with mediocre guards all the time.
Not sure why it has to be one or the other?wow, just wow
we had a Hall of Fame G playing for us and trash in the Safety position but you are happy about that
Don’t remind me about the Booker pick. Once again the Joneses panicked because the player they wanted didn’t fall to them. I think you could have gotten a Booker in the 20s, so they should have traded back or take guard later in the draft.I would argue Downs skill set is significantly if higher value than Booker / Guard.
I am still not happy about that pick lol.
Well tell you what let’s look at the champs….you think their safeties mediocre? They win with mediocre safeties...
Booker was great, dont get me wrong, but the opportunity cost of what we could have had would have been way better in terms of value.Don’t remind me about the Booker pick. Booker played well but he is not a young Martin or Tyler Smith like the Cowboys media wants us to think. He will always be a high floor player.
I don't think Downs is there for the Cowboys unless they trade up to 6.For whatever reason in that thread I thought you were talking about trading up for a David Bailey type move. But yes I would do move up to 9 for 29
