Well tell you what let’s look at the champs….you think their safeties mediocre?

Those guards are the worst in the league.
What are you talking about? Grey Zabel was, on day 1, one of the best guards on the league.

It's not like you have to have good guards or good safeties lol

I would love to watch an NFL coach laugh in your face when you claim a guard is more important than a safety

Well, I'm here to tell you that the NFL values guards more than safeties.

The NFL's 10th highest paid guard (Quinn Meinerz) makes $19.5M AAV. The NFL's 10th highest paid safety (Cameron Bynum) makes $15M AAV.

The NFL's 20th highest paid guard (Ed Ingram) makes $12.5M AAV. The NFL's 20th highest paid safety (Kamren Curl) makes $11M AAV.

The NFL's 30th highest paid guard (Wyatt Teller) makes $8M AAV. The NFL's 30th highest paid safety (Deshon Elliott) makes $6M AAV.

It's not a huge gap - you can see that guard and safety are two of the most comparably paid positions out there - but the gap is persistent.

Nick Emmanwori as rookie was the 22nd rated safety.
Julian Love 6th rated safety

Grey Zabel is 51st rated guard.
Anthony Bradford 70th rated guard.

Ok? Those ratings are junk, Zabel was excellent. But it's not like I said you can't win with good safeties lol.

You people are going mad trying to act like I'm saying you should have good guards OR good safeties.

no we just laugh at your claim safeties are less valuable
and you think pay is all that matters
I guess if one only think money does and results do not
Try this: look at teams with HOF guards vs HOF Safeties and how many of each got rings?

Idk how to respond because this is barely English.

But the HOF safeties vs. guards is a really, really stupid way to measure whatever point you're trying to make because I have never said it is one or the other.

I’m not going mad or doing anything. All I said was you can win with mediocre guards and if rather have a good safety than a good guard. Not sure how that’s a issue.

If he gets to Cincy they will take him, period.

Good job ducking the question.

The point is that positional value matters. Safeties don't have positional value.
they do as compared to a kicker lol. and there's been plenty of precedent of elite safeties helping transform defenses.

Booker was great, dont get me wrong, but the opportunity cost of what we could have had would have been way better in terms of value.
what's your alternative? hindsight included. what would you have liked to see them do?

Trying to keep hindsight out of it and looking at the consensus big board:

1. Warren or Walker
2. DEze (fine with the pick)
3. Xavier Watts or Wyatt Milum

you said flat out guards are more important and I challenged you to show having a great guard is better than a great Safety and you have NOTHING

Yes of course lol. What I'm saying is that just because a player is the best player overall doesn't mean that they should go #1, because positional value matters.

Not really. Safeties make a difference when the other pieces are in place - passrush and corners.

What they get paid is the proof, you just don't like it.
