They were most definitely not a top ten defense.

Well unless you are a simple minded fellow who thinks yards per game is the ultimate and best and sole indicator of a defense’s prowess.

Depth isn’t great at DT, but the starters will be fine. The DE’s, LB’s, and CB’s will be good. S depth is sketchy. I don’t see why we shouldn’t expect to see a much better defense this season.

Our defense is going to be MUCH better than it has been. I am talking top 10 at worst and top 5 in turnovers and sacks.

A little off topic, but using Yards allowed as a metric for ranking the D is just plain stupid. The one and only stat that really matters in the end is Points Allowed, all the other crap is just that crap. Games are won and lost with points.. if we don't let the other team score more than we do, then I like our odds of winning the game.
