Broadus had him as 3rd rounder, saw others had him anywhere from 30s to 50 (brugler).

Feels like a reach to me. You don't draft projects in round 1. Will be interesting to see how Lloyd, Johnson, Dean and the center play out compared to Smith.

Broaddus also had Travis Frederick as 3rd rounder.

This is pathetic. Smith is literally reaching around, holding his opponents around their shoulder pads and literally wrestling them over and down to the ground...over and over and over. Does anyone seriously believe that's not going to get flagged every time in the NFL? This is not just some fluke play or two. It's play after player after play, etc.

Technique can be fixed.

Not so easily fixed is power, athleticism, size, versatility and nastiness.

Agreed! I was a little surprised by the pick just because he wasn't on my radar but that is not necessarily a bad thing!

I 100% trust McClay! The scouting department is not to blame for some of the team's failures the last 5 or so years!

Cowboys have one of the highest draft grades the last 5 yrs... so you're clueless.
But do agree McCray has made a big improvement drafting.
