The crazy thing is that the biggest catastrophe on the O-Line has to be Doug Free....
I first thought that then see Tyron is almost as bad with Mack not far behind.

I say draft a left Tackle or a top one out of FA. Then let the new LT compete with Tyron for LT with the loser shifting to RT. We are pretty sure that Tyron can handle RT. With one acquisition we solve the tackle problem, hopefully. Then draft a top line Center(Barrett Jones) and with that acquisition that goes a long way in solving the middle of the line problem. The leftovers can compete for RG,LG and backup positions,Free,Parnell,Mack,Livings,Cook,Kowalski,Costa--Dockery sent home.

Again much like the defense's problems were pretty much solved with two acquisitions(Carr,Mo), the offense can also make great strides in solving its problems with two acquisitions.

We'll still have to address OLB,DL,S,RB,CB and possibly others, but I feel the Oline additions are the first two to address. It can be done I just don't know if the FO is capable of recognizing their needs and then if they do acting on them correctly--No JAGs.

Every Cowboy fan is frustrated with what we've witnessed 2 weeks in a row.

Its hard not to get pissed.

Butt, get pissed at Jerry. Call him out. Call out Red J. Call out the Organization. Not other fans.

So some other fans drank the Kool-Aid and were optimistic about this year. Why fault them for wanting to believe their team would improve? They didnt have a thing to do with the OL. They just want success from the team like we all do.

Too many here take all this stuff posted here way too seriously. This should be fun also. A place to vent about losses and Jerruh. It should provide some laughs as well IMO.

Umm I will let Reality or one of the mods tell us how to behave or what is acceptable.

I am just saying that burm is being extra adversarial and oblivious to even a mod telling him that it isn't cool. That behavior is frequently observed by those who have been drinking.

You see quite a lot of it after a game.

And we just won. Our defense absolutely dominated that game. Vent about what?

No, it's not but it does seem to completely disregard the outcome of the game.

How did you think that McCoy and Bennett played?

McCoy, Bennett, and Claiborn (I don't think his last name has an "e" on the end) are pretty amazing on that front 7...they've been making some shrewd moves in the draft lately.

Don't hold your breath for anything to change. Witness protection in full effect.

Moving Free back is NOT the solution. He was a good RT, given a shot at LT and is now back at RT and sucking. Moving him to LT doesn't magically mean he's going to not suck. In fact, Romo would likely get absolutely killed with Free at LT.

Plus, we want Tyron improving at the position and growing. LT are paid the big bucks for a reason.

just wondering if they have the nerve to answer

probably don't

I watch as this organization wastes the best years of great players by screwing up by the numbers

And I choose to yell about it

if you don't like it ask me if I care

I'm here, burm, and am happy to answer. I'll point out that all of the gnashing and handwringing in the offseason was over the interior OL, especially focussed on OC and surrounding frustration with--Jerry Jones for some reason-- re: the FA OG acquisitions.

All offseason, my sunshine-pumping mantra was: "wait and see how the OL performs before trashing it." And "there's a set of personnel issues every year, but it's rarely what you think it's going to be."

After three games, I'd say the most consistent complainers were dead wrong about OC (we added a starting-quality player from offseason cuts like most of us thought we would, and that player has played ok in tough circumstances when forced into the lineup due to injury); Nate Livings have overperformed expectations and has been a quality signing; Mack has looked (to me) like a decent backup who should not be a long-term starter.

The problems with the OL have been, of all places, at OT. Particularly at RT. We've also had issues so far with our HoF TE, of all positions.

This is exactly why you should have waited and saw before wasting everybody's time during the offseason complaining about a set of circumstances you didn't understand and weren't capable of evaluating properly. I have no idea why you think being noisy and wrong entitles you to a call-out thread. And I have no idea why you think that anybody ever said there weren't going to be problems with the OL in particular or with the offense in general this season. Most people thought we were looking at a 10-6 team here, and that's pretty much what we've seen so far. We've got obvious problems on offense that include and extend beyond the offensive line. Fortunately, we've still got a full-complement of whiney fans intent upon piling on after the fact whenever something doesn't go well and pretending that they called it in advance. Even during victory weeks.

Take a bow. We're all very impressed over here. Barely had the courage to muster up a reply, as a matter of fact because I was so much in awe of your foresight.

I have had as many rounds as anyone about the poor shape of the line. I don't like being right, so I you can guess I agree with Risen Star. I didn't appreciate the insults by many, and I'm sure others didn't either. Rub it in, nah, that's not why I come here. I hope this mess opens some eyes about some things though. Some should not be so quick to label others as being negative for trying to have a conversation about a team weakness. I just feel sorry for Romo.

See Idgit's previous post. Then remind me when it was you predicted all the problems we're seeing at offensive tackle.

That there were worse lines and all in all its not that important that they be any good.
you should call yourself out for being the leader of the replacement refs will be an improvement crowd.

I called for four new lineman a long time ago. Free stinks, but he is not the only problem. The two free agent guards are nothing more than jags. That was their problem at the previous teams. Tyron is the only one with a future on this line. He hasn't played well, but at least he has talent. The line play from today was totally expected for some of us.
