Calling on the happy fans and

Jeez, a glance at this board you'd think we lost again. I'm guessing nobody is gonna enjoy the win? Guess not. Not trying to be positive because our offensive line was just terrible and it's clear it's gonna be a problem, but I don't understand why we're not talking about our defense's performance which was great. People can complain about moving up to get Claiborne was a bad move, but I doubt a second round offensive lineman is gonna fix the line. In fact, Smith and Free have been the guys that have sucked the most. Don't understand why Free can't back to his 2010 days where he was our best lineman. I knew Smith was going to struggle, but I didn't expect this much. Hopefully as the season goes on he starts to get better at the position. I feel like if those two start to turn it around, it will help the offensive line a lot.

I called for four new lineman a long time ago. Free stinks, but he is not the only problem. The two free agent guards are nothing more than jags. That was their problem at the previous teams. Tyron is the only one with a future on this line. He hasn't played well, but at least he has talent. The line play from today was totally expected for some of us.

Livings has played well. Best on the line so far and yes better than Smith who has struggled mightily at times.

Free was the problem. mental mistakes like leaving Witten who is struggling in his own right alone with the DE, failure to anchor and still getting beat upfield etc.

Bernadeau was having issues as well but not nearly to that exent.

It was false starts across the line, Free sucking and to give credit where its due, great games by Bennett and McCoy.

Livings has been just fine and Cook has hardly been a problem. Smith has been left on an island and is getting stronger game by game.

I wanted to give Free a few games to see what the results where I hate to base everything on 1-2 games but this is now three games in a row where he has been a liability.

My question is what do they do at RT ? Do they try Parnell

The other questions when Costa comes back do they move Cook to RG and move Berm to the backup since he can play multiple positions on the line

do you guys realize the Cowboys off season strategy (fix the secondary) won the game for us. Or would you rather lose the game 40 to 31.

Any comments I made about the OL were basically about Costa and whether he would be better this year....since he has been injured hard to say one way or the other. Cook has been decent, not great, not horrible.

Ragging on the guards is fine, but the fact is that Livings has been pretty darned good. Probably the best lineman on the team so far. Bernadeau has been ok, but seems to have a lapse or two almost every game that potentially exposes Romo to big hits.

Smith has been decent at LT but the problem is everyone expects him to be an All Pro in his first year at the position. It's a learning process and it will take time. He will get better every game as the year goes on.

The one huge problem is Free. He has stunk it up in all three games. He got bull rushed multiple times into the QB today.

Basically, right now the only change you can make is putting Parnell in for Free. I don't think Parnell can play any worse than Free at this point.

Down the road, we might have some flexibility if Costa can come back healthy....I am still thinking that may come after the bye....also Killer could be coming back. Cook has starting experience at tackle so maybe he is an option there at some point if Costa or Killer can contribute at center.

Don't think they're ready to bench Free but they have to be looking at the OL closely so I wouldn't rule out Parnell. I just have no idea how ready Parnell is.

simple as that

when it seems clear that something needs to be done and the team does nothing

That is because shiny objects sell tickets
