Whose the QB and play-caller?

Dez now has Calvin's play-caller with a much better QB.

I don't mean to bring this up, but this situation looks a lot like Emmitt Smith/Barry Sanders all over again.........20 years later.

Same teams too. And of course the non-Cowboy is considered better. Because Emmitt was the best all around back in the league, they came up with the pure runner ********. No matter what Dez does there will be some reason he's not the best. Emmitt ended up with 3 rings and the rushing title. Barry won the battle. Emmitt won the war. Advantage Cowboy. I hope the Callvin vs. Dez thing ends the same way.

I don't think this comparison really works.

Most years Emmitt was #1 or #2 in yards -- sometimes alternating with Barry.

This year Dez with was 8th in yards, last year he was 13th in yards, in 2012 he was 6th. Receptions are somewhat the same.

Undoubtably Dez is the best red-zone WR in the league, however, the rest of his stats have been very good but non consistently top 5.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Like I said, the same situation, just different positions. Eventually I plan on writing a blog about it.

It's not necessarily about numbers.......at least I wasn't looking at it that way. If Dez had the same amount of targets the numbers between both receivers would be much closer. Dez has put up some awfully good numbers for somebody that was misused for a good chunk of his career. Only 3 other receivers besides him have posted 5,000 receiving yards and 50 TDs within their first 5 years. All I was saying is that it's amazing sometimes how history can repeat itself, even with some of the dynamics being different.

They've got the same notable skills, being strong and able to win the contested jump balls. Dez has better body control and Calvin is taller with a longer reach,,, Dez has better hands though, I'll take Dez.
