Is the question whether or not Jerry is tanking in 2025? Because I would answer yes to that question too. I don't know that it is so he can sign Arch Manning. That seems far-fetched. But everything Jerry has done so far in 2025 smells like another down season. Hiring Schottenheimer has got to be the biggest sign of a down year that I could imagine.
I think Jerry and Stephen really believe they are CAP strapped. I think they really believe that they can win it all with 4 or 5 high paid players and a bunch of cast offs. While I do not believe they are tanking on purpose, I do believe they are expecting another year of losing.
I think we will have our answer by the end of the free agency period.
that is not tanking, they did not do what they've done so far in this offseason to target a different coach and player next year. that was what was asked and talked about..
Your response no sense,
they either are or not tanking, and no they're not doing it on purpose, teams who might be aware they might have a down season that's not relative to the video we're talking about they are making accusations that they purposely hire this staff in order to target manning and save it which makes zero sense it's not true it's can't be further from the truth there's no way Jerry would have gone after saving this season if that was the plan you get him a year ahead and then hope that manning is there in 2026 which I don't believe he is most of us believe he'll play two seasons unless he's a Heisman Trophy winner and his stock couldn't be higher and his family gets with him and they decide to go against the plan but the plan is to stay two years so none of this video and the reason this was started by the original poster aligns with your comment just because you believe the Cowboys might not be good this year that does not mean they're tanking or even organically tanking we won seven games with a mostly with our practice squad team last year we nearly beat Washington twice with backups that tells me that we're not going to be in the top five next year we may have another disappointing season what that is I don't know but I believe if we stay healthy and we don't have the injuries we had last year that the team could possibly win 9 or 10 games...
I wish people would really understand that this is a year to year league I don't care what Philadelphia Washington look like in our Division I know how with a healthy core of our team the stars you're talking about when they're healthy and they're given a chance by their coaching staff the schemes the game plans the play calling they literally have the ability to win 9 or 10 games in this division I mean if you don't need anything more than we won seven games with playing most of the year with backups and one of the worst injury seasons we've had ever...
So if you stay true to the actual thread then the answer would be no, they're not tanking BY definition, its NO,
these are not signs that they're tanking they didn't sign a new coaching staff to four year deals and make sure they seem to be strategically and philosophically picking these coaches to give this staff the best shot this year,
that is not tanking, they did not do what they've done so far in this offseason to target a different coach and player next year.
