There's also a difference in the practice that I think many are missing in this forum.its practice.....thats where you test it out, throw ints, fumble, miss coverage, get beat on routes...
i feel that "fans" and blogs dont understand the concept of practice
Early in camp you are doing what the coaching community calls "installs". For most players that is the first time you are running the play on the field with the set of teammates in the play.
For some plays they are fairly basic. But the player combinations may not be basic. So a guy like Schultz may know that one play like the back of his hand, but Hendershot may have no clue about how the play is run outside of classroom and unit group install.
So you should expect some play inefficiency early on in camp.
Where you begin to get worried about disturbing trends are during the final weeks of camp practices and in-season practices, which we fans don't get to watch. If there is a lack of sharpness and execution there then I would get a bit concerned.
I do get how the fan base is concerned due to last season's discussion on whether WRs were in the right spot, players competing for the ball and whether Dak was seeing the field properly.
But right now this early in camp I wouldn't hit the "panic" button.
