Honorable Mention: Davon Coleman – The second-year defensive tackle had another strong camp, just like he did a year ago when he made the team and started the first game. While there were questions surrounding his ability to duplicate his performance, Coleman did that and more. He hasn’t exactly solidified his spot on the team, but he’s making it very hard for the Cowboys to cut him.

10. Tyler Patmon – Known more for trading punches with Dez Bryant earlier in camp, and then going toe-to-toe with several Rams players in that nasty brawl, Patmon also continued to impress the coaches with his play on the field. Taking advantage of several other injuries at the position, Patmon got plenty of reps and now appears to be the Cowboys’ slot corner with Orlando Scandrick out for the year.

9. Jack Crawford – We expected a Crawford to excel in camp, and while Tyrone was very good in his own right, Jack was just as impressive. He’s not going to start, but his versatility to play both tackle and end makes him valuable to the line. When the season starts and Greg Hardy is on suspension, Crawford could be the first backup at both defensive end and the 3-technique defensive tackle.

8. Tony Romo – Again, this isn’t a ranking of top players on the team, but mainly their performances in camp. He certainly practiced more this year than the last two years, but was still limited at times. And, of course, not having Dez Bryant for a lot of practices doesn’t help. But Romo was as solid as ever, showing he still has plenty of zip on the ball and his pocket presence looked on-point as ever.

7. Zack Martin – While he might have missed a few practices near the end of camp with a neck injury, Martin was still rock-solid in the times he was on the field. This guy is just a great football player and has been since he arrived to the team last spring. Martin doesn’t lose many, if any, battles 1-on-1 and makes few mental mistakes, making him much more advanced than your average second-year pro

I said it after we drafted him and nothing has changed my mind, I think there are going to be a few teams that are haunted by the fact they let Gregory fall right into our laps for a few years to come.

I don't think they will. He was a 1st round talent that everyone passed up. It was just like the Dez situation. Everyone knew he was a top 10 talent and pick. You knew he'd hit his potential. Now its early on Gregory but everyone knew Dez would be great and still didn't want to take him.

nothing earth shattering or revealing or mind grabbing opinon, run of the mill stuff. "hey guys, i put letters on a page" its a good problem to have, but nothing id get excited to see. nice to see Lawerence get some love, but i feel thats due to teh fact the price was paid on him so people gotta remind us hes there an say nice things, but i dont think it would warrant a use of the top 10. a few players had shorter camps, but did ok. Some realized , and fans some players werent as good as thought. No surprise Dill wasnt on the list. Heard nothing about Leary on the list, guess he didnt wow enough for opinion to ride on him. Collins i think did ok enough to get mentioned. But overal a ho hum list of general names we should know.

You don't think they'll regret letting a team that went 12-4 fill their biggest defensive hole with a first round talented player... with a late second round pick? "haunted" was kind of an exaggeration on my part... but I think it's safe to say, if Gregory pans out being the big "if", that teams will be kicking themselves for letting that player fall right into our laps.

Naw I don't. Every team had their shot on Gregory and some passed him up twice. This isn't like Romo where everyone completely missed on him. Gregory was dominant in college and people felt like he would be in the pros but the risk wasn't worth it to them. They also knew that a handful of teams are willing to take on "risks" and the Cowboys are one of those teams.

If that's how you choose to see it I guess, but I am pretty sure there were/are a lot of GMs/owners/coaches/fans who regret not taking Tom Brady in round five, but hell I could be wrong.

If he was 260 with a bigger frame he would have still gone in the first rnd
The risks along with the size combined scared teams off
If teams think you can play they tend to ignore the risks, if there are concerns about whether or not your game will translate to the nfl then they worry about the other stuff a lot more

I had a fantasy draft Wednesday night. 12 teams, 18 rounds and everyone had a keeper...a long, boring draft. Anyways, I snatched up Beasely with my last pick and everyone laughed calling me a homer. I think the guy has a floor of 60 catches this season if he stays healthy. 60 catches would only be about 1.5 extra catches a game for him which should be easily attainable considering how frequently he was used late in the season. He could even have more catches if we have trouble running the ball.

Impossible, actually.

No one in our front office has the ability to make Davon Coleman bleed his own blood.

He's a roster lock.

i see the Coleman Norris comparisons already, its going to be as sad as Lee and Carter.

Holy Crapola...Beasley? I knew the lil' guy can ball but, wow. I don't follow TCamp too closely and had no idea he tore it up to that extent.
