Can 9 year veteran Dak Prescott lead today's Dallas Cowboys to a Super Bowl?

You'd have a better shot with Cooper Rush.
Cooper rush may not win the big game, but he probably won't lose it for you.
Unlike the other guy

1. Dak isn't leading this team anywhere.
2. If the Cowboys make it to the big dance it will be a team that dragged it's hapless QB to the SB like the Ravens carried Dilfer.

Can the 3rd best QB in the division lead the Cowboys to a super bowl? No.

Win 3 games in a row in January against the likes of Stafford, Goff, Hurts, Love, Daniels, Mayfield? No.

Forget the super bowl. Can he lead the cowboys to just 2 wins in a row in January? The clock is ticking.
Cmom mountain, your act is getting old! .....oops.

Why did I log into this before breakfast? We know this answer and it's not even debatable. If for some bizarre change in the earth's orbit, we even make a Super Bowl, it won't be because of our current QB leading the charge and the reasons why have been stated 1,4 Million times

LOL...the fact that he's 9 years in - and the average QB plays 3-4 years - TELLS ONE HOW PATHETIC THE QUESTION (AND THE SUBSEQUENT ANSWERS) ARE...

seriously...are these threads meant to troll?

A much better question is can we finally win back to back playoff games with the following impediments to making deep playoff runs?
  1. Jerry is our owner
  2. Jerry is our GM
  3. Jerry is our head coach ("Ol' Schotty" is the scapegoat in waiting)
  4. Ol' Schotty, our head coach lacks the power to hire and fire players and coaching staff
  5. Jerry sets the culture
  6. If the players are cool with Jerry, then they don't answer to the head coach or anyone else but Jerry
  7. Our home games feature blinding sunlight, further evidence that our owner/gm/hc cares more about ascetics than winning ball games.
  8. Our FO is almost a non-factor in free agency (only Super Bowl winning teams are aggressive in FA.
  9. 31 other NFL GMs are working 18 hour days to improve the roster while Jerry is distracted with signing the next motocross race or bringing that hack George Strait back for a concert at the Death Star.
  10. Jerry holds weekly radio shows to discuss strategy normally performed by the head coach.
  11. Jerry hold a presser at the same time as the "head coach" after every game (unless we are embarrassed and then Jerry is nowhere to be found.
Since the above items remain constant in Dallas, it is really difficult (impossible for 30 seasons anyway) for a team so mismanaged to make it to the NFC Championship game with so many obstacles to winning. How many years have we heard we have a Super Bowl roster? And how many playoff games ended in a loss because our defense can't make a stop? Have we fixed our defense so we can make a deep playoff run? You know the Aaron Rogers 4th and 25 defense from a few years ago? Have we fixed the defense that could not stop a hobbled Aaron Rogers in green Bay when Dez caught the ball with 4:58 left in the 4th quarter? Have we fixed the defense that could not force a 3 and our after Romo fumble in Seattle? Because that is why we lost those playoff games because our defense is soft once we play in the playoffs.

Dak may have a great year or a terrible one, but Jerry's insistence on embracing a losing model (The Jones Model - hc has no power, Jerry does the press conferences and radio shows, our home games have blinding sun, Jerry hires the staff for the "head coach", etc.) remains the elephant in the room. Dak couldn't win here, Romo couldn't win here, Bledsoe couldn't win here, etc.

Until the Jones model of management changes, the outcome is predictable. And it doesn't matter if Dak, Romo, or Anthony Banks (Cowboys preseason only) is under center.

Only w/ disruptive DTs. So, not this year. Maybe Jerry will finally show that he truly wants to win a super bowl. You'll know it when he starts getting topnotch DT's in here, because that is the road to the big dance.
Correct, but the 'need' to stop the run is overly prioritized as a result of Dak's inability to keep composure and orchestrate a comeback when it matters and teams compound his anxiety as they run the clock down.
Let's see whether Dak can show us anything in 2025 for a serious challenge in 2026.

The best chance he had was on his ELC with the dominant offensive line, prime Zeke and then when they acquired Cooper.
Defense obviously had a flaw in the run defense in 2018, but those few years was the peak time for the Front office to go all in and try to win one with Dak. A "superbowl" winning support personnel. Hell, even the first few years of his restructured deal. But nope.

I'm saying no just cause of his play/health/mobility etc, but also due to the front office not providing this team the best chance to win on a yearly basis.
This offseason they acquired Pickens, who as long as stays composed, will help. However, we are on a hope and prayer that the defensive line isn't a downgrade from last year.

No doubt Dak is capable enough to lead the team to the Super Bowl. Like all QB’,s he needs a SB level supporting cast.
“today’s Dallas Cowboys” do not have that level of a supporting cast. So, you say “no”?

No. He doesn't have the magic to make things happen in the playoffs to win a game. But he is good enough to help win games if the talent around his is sufficient. The Cowboys as a team lack enough talent or toughness to win.

I'm with you guys. If he never wins anything, I'll blame everybody but him. He can't carry himself, much less a team.
We're chasing4 and that's an Art, America's Cowboys.

I will wait and see what his year brings.
But I will not bet on it.
This is where I am.......we know he can win regular season games with the best but the postseason? The GB games left a scar and what's crazy is I was 100% confident he would eat that game up, especially after a near-ALL-PRO regular season. The most disappointing thing about the game was how ill-prepared he looked ( like a rookie or a guy who didn't wanna be there).

"Well, I won’t say no—I've seen worse quarterbacks win Super Bowls. That said, I’ve basically lost hope in Dak leading Dallas to any real success. Just my opinion, though."
