Can Carpenter participate in mini-camps?

It was sarcasm... I was pretending I was a local sports-writer... ;)

what if they dont plan to graduate LOL? How many NFL players actually have their degree anyhow?

they have to wait even if they do not plan to graduate.

it is a good rule b/c it protects the player from being pressured by their team to participate when school is still in session. I believe this is part of the agreement with the NCAA as well -- something they wanted for exactly this reason.

In the interview with The Ticket after he was selected, Carpenter said he would be town on Thursday.

Just to clarify Carpenter will certainly participate in the upcoming minicamp for rookies starting on Friday and ending on Sunday, but he won't be able to participate in any others until after Ohio State graduation in June. This has come up before and isn't a problem. While most of our rookies will be here for those minicamp, it's possible 1-2 others face same situation as Carpenter. In fact I believe last year 1 of our rookies couldn't be here until late in June, but don't remember which one.

this has been a problem with ohio st for years. they use the quarter system and that's why its so late
