Is it me or am I missing something?
Should I believe practicing and playing along side a scrappy talented vet like Scandrick will not in any way benefit the rooks. Come on get real. Scandrick will be an invaluable teacher which will help in the development.
Are you saying we should dump all our veteran role players because we have no shot of a Super Bowl this year. (By what evaluation makes you so certain of this preconceived notion)
Besides its the journey thats exciting not the destination. Those 3 trophies in the 70s were nice, but I witnessed and remembered the 90s. Thats more real to me .
Go ahead drop Witten Texans may pick him up ( And win a superbowl)
Go ahead drop Scandrick Patriots may add him (And win a super bowl)
But its all good Cowboys werent going to the big show this year.
PS. Let us know which year exactly we are going to the Super Bowl. That way Jerry and Co wont have to get rid of all the VETERAN ROLE PLAYERS
Not at all. Im not really saying dump, first i was asking a question that not many wanted or could answer. You at least attempted something. What i am saying is play the players. Does that mean they have to start, yes and no if you believe they will be a starter, start them, that doesnt mean they have to play the whole game, nor does it mean they arent going to make mistakes It does mean however, certain players know they are going to get replaced and they can either make the tranistion smooth, or take it for what it is. at this junction, its not going to make a difference, eitehr way the next player is going to get that shot and this is a great year to do it. Why? scandrick isnt going to intercept us to a winning record or even the play offs. hes a good player for disruptinga play, but if the FO really beleives in their draft, make sure the player gets ample time, or start a game or two. Whats it going to hurt?
Id start the safeties right now, unless a vet can really make a statement. Am i sold on Heath no, but if he doesnt convince by the end of the pre season, let the rookie play. If heath can, great, but Heath is still young enough. Does Scandrick really need to start? Was his injury last year that much of a difference? It can be debated, but im not wasting energy on it.
