Yes, I do.
Watching him on video, he was much better against the run that I thought. In fact, I thought he needed to be better at zone stretch plays away from him than at the point of attack.
But, this is a pass oriented league and this defense is about getting upfield. What he really needs to work on is better hand technique and being able to get more lateral side bend when speed rushing. But, I think he has the body to do that.
What's going to probably happen is that they are going to work to transform his body from day 1. He will probably have a learning curve of dealing with the body changes and the NFL and by 2016, we will see a totally different player.
While we struggle to keep guys healthy, the training staff has been great at transforming players' bodies over the years to make them better football players. The transformation of Leary, Wilcox and Randle last year are great examples.

something Norm said worried me,he seems to be Bipolar and i dont know if he is on Meds.the anxiety seems to be one of the reason he cant stay off the maryjane.
Incredibly irresponsible reporting going on. Bipolarity is very difficult diagnose, and he hasn't been diagnosed with it. Media likes to play doctor.
He has emotional issues, and possible mental issues.
He plays like Aldon Smith. Dallas hopes he won't be like the other side of Aldon Smith.
There are a lot of question marks surrounding this guy, but I want to focus on his playing weight a bit.
Does anyone think this guy can be an innovative, situational type pass rusher at 235lbs?
Personally, I'm starting to warm up to the idea due to where he was drafted-- great talent, but not great opportunity cost, so limited role may be okay.
Take for instance, undersized pass rushersike Von Miller and Bruce Irvin-- hybrid type guys that can get after the QB. Could that be Gregory?
What do you guys think?
This season will be all about refining his technique and getting him to be a better pass rusher. I could see him putting on about 10-15 pounds more, but his frame can only take so much. He is built similar to Jevon Kearse. He needs to get stronger and use his reach to his advantage. Too many times he let the blocker get into his chest which nullified him. Lett, Bloom and Rod will coach him up well. Plus the time he is on the field watching Hardy is valuable.
I feel comfortable that by mid-season he'll be on the field as much as any DE not named Hardy. That means 1st downs, 2nd downs and 3rd downs. He said on the Cowboys Draft show he plans to get his weight up, around 245-250lbs. Anyways, he will prob only play on passing downs. Not used as a runs stopper.
Jason Taylor played DE weighing as little as 225.
When people say mental issues I think of something bad.. the guy is bipolar? OK sure, I've seen some successful bipolar people out there. He'll be fine if he wants to be. If not he'll be out of the league in due time. High reward low risk if you ask me.
Thanks. You right on. I wonder if he good treatment for the disorder and the weed became a crutch over time.
Haley was drafted 30 years ago and last played for the Cowboys when Bill Clinton was still in his first term.
OLs are bigger now.
I don't disagree that Gregory can be an effective pass rusher at a low weight, however, I do question whether he can be an every-down 4-3 DE at that weight. The good news is they don't need him to be a every-down DE in 2015.
Yeah I guess that's kind of what I'm hoping for. I hope they don't try to make him into something he isn't by packing on pounds and ruining what he has going.
I'm interested in the idea that his size, as is, would make for a unique dynamic as a situational edge rusher. Too quickly we write off guys as too small-- I'm wondering if he can be an innovative 'new breed' suited to today's pass heavy league.
