RGIII, if his knees are good, should get a look. He may wish to go somewhere else but this is a good place for him if he fits.

I don't see why not. He's far more talented than any QB coming out in this years draft.

I can see it now...

Romo goes down week 1, and then RG3 has a magical, redemption season much like Vick did with the Eagles in 2010.

RG3 has talent. I don't understand the hate for him on this board. The biggest concern with him is his injury history. I would not expect him to be the future because of his injury history but a backup qb. He would be perfect. You never heard a peep out of him in Washington this year even though he was benched.

Thank You some people where willing to bring in Mr I can't get through the first step of the twelve step program Johnnie

I'm okay with giving him a shot I just don't see how he fits. But I like ur optimism.

Listen man. I want the Cowboys to draft and develop a quarterback because I don't think we are close to a super bowl. But I believe Jerry thinks we just need some band aids and we will be OK.

I am ok with RG3 for a backup but I also believe he is just as likely to get hurt as Romo is.

Which would be how many decades ago?

That just makes the case even more. Morrall, Hoestetler, and Plunckett. That's off the top of my head so correct me if I missed one or two.

The point is once you lose your QB you're pretty much out of it. And I don't care how many decades ago it was.

RGIII would be awesome in Dallas. I think some are just worried about him taking Romo's job. If I'm wrong then you have nothing to worry about and you wouldn't protest so much.

lol. Doubt that will ever cross RGIII's mind much less Romo's.

Now that Manziel as eliminated himself, I'll pass on RG3.

Has any QB who has failed as miserably as either of those two first their first team ever done anything?

I know of a guy that got a ton of money to play in the USFL, then went to Tampa and complied a 3-16 record as a starter. At age 26, he got traded to a team where he sat for basically 4 years. He's now in the HOF.

So how does this relate to bringing in Manziel or RG3?

Unless RG3 had learned to read defenses (which I doubt) I don't see him as such a good fit.

Why would you doubt that? He was in a one read offense, pass or run. That's what he was told to do. He would probably be a better fit than most in Garretts offense which Romo has turned into schoolyard...Play breakdown because nobody is open at first in this stupid scheme, run around and get a big play on a late defensive breakdown.
