What a difference a few weeks makes. We go from long threads about whether we could safely go into the season with Romo as the backup, now he's a possible starter this year? Let me think about that......er.....no.

is that the new rule

No it's always been that way...Preseason stats are Never official...While they help a player develope...For the official record...Romo has never thrown a NFL pass...But Henson has and is going to beat Bledsoe out Next year!:D

Drew's arm strength is fading as he gets older. It's inevitable; Romo or someone else will replace Drew soon, but probably not this year unless Drew gets hurt.

Would you consider playing against 2nd or 3rd team a valid test?

well if they started him in the preseason then he would have played against 1st stringers. but there are no records that I have found of the pre season

Romo has ZERO chance of being the starter this season. This is Drew Bledsoe's offense...Hands down.

Romo will start in the pre-season to get some meaningless snaps under his belt with the first team (As all back-ups should) but then he will resume his earned spot on the bench to back-up Bledsoe this year.

IF he does a good job in the pre-season then I would expect a long term contract extension for 3 or 4 years for Romo to secure his spot as the starting QB of the future in Dallas once Bledsoe leaves.

I think he had two kneeldowns for a total of negative yardage, so statisically he's done less in the NFL than you or I have done!

Never thrown a pass in any regular or post season game ever. Maybe they have him confused with Henson who has played a half and a hand full of snaps against Baltimore in 04.

Well you can ask them...But I just gave you the Official NFL Stats site.

He's Never thrown a Official NFL pass.

Now he's went in and taken a knee at the end of a game but he's never thrown a Regular season pass.

Yes but he looked like a Pro Bowler when he took that knee. :lmao: Just kidding, I like Romo and wish him the best this season.

Throwing the deep out will tell you a lot more about a guys arm strengh than throwing the bomb. As for Bledsoe arm I think he still has plenty of zip on his passes.
