1993 Cowboys team ha to win out. The had to win with a dinged up Emmitt and his shoulder.
Yes they were the defending SB champs, but still the won the last 5 to get home field advantage

It happens.

Points for optimism....can’t wait to read the reply’s you get on the unbelievable similarities between the 93 team and this one!

His board is going to turn on the team again big time Thursday night, isn’t it?
While this team has zero chance to defeat the Saints, failure to defeat them is unacceptable and should be met with a slew of firings.

The problem with the Saints is even if the Cowboys beat the Saints next week, barring a huge upset, the playoffs will still go through New Orleans so a rematch would be played in New Orleans, and that's after a big *IF* the Cowboys actually made it that far.

If the Cowboys fall behind the Saints, they will be chasing the scoreboard the entire game. They've won the last three games because they've been able to stick with their run-first game plan. Sean Peyton knows this and will try to get the Saints out to a an early lead.

Could be both ways , lose badly the board will go back to usual( all negative) or scarape through for a win, then explode in the opposite direction.

If we somehow beat the Saints, I’d be ok with a bit of homerism.

I consider the Cowboys defense to be "playoff quality" but not dominant. It cannot carry the offense against quality opponents. The league rules favor offenses so yours better be able to score 24+ against anyone or you're gonna get sent home early.

Anything is possible but they won’t. 3-2 down the stretch, finishing 9-7 to win the East.

Odd thing was, in 1993 I knew Dallas was the best team in the NFL. At the time of the Leon Lett field goal gaff against Miami, my thought was... "Ok, that is the last time the Cowboys will let a team be within a field goal at the end of a game, they won't let that happen again". The Giants took them to overtime at the end of the season, but my thoughts going into every game was that Dallas is the best team, something unexpected will have to happen for them to lose. I know my expectations don't mean a damn thing when it comes to what will actually happen, but I do not go into this Saints game thinking that the Cowboys will win if both teams play as expected.

Peyton will try of course - we'll slow their run more than most and I just don't see Thomas and Smith beating our CBs, even with Brees throwing. Watson is dangerous.

No. We will not run the table. The Saints talent level and most importantly their coaching is light years ahead of us. I do not care if we win the SB, I want JG, SL, RM and the rest of the staff ushered out. Keep Richard and Columbo that's it.

We have what it takes to beat every team that remains on our schedule, with the likely exception of New Orleans. If we're able to win a game or two in the playoffs, we'll have made a better degree of progress over what we've accomplished in many years. After this season is in the books, here's hoping we'll improve upon about 2 or 3 starters and also add some quality depth with promising young draftees and veteran free agents.
