CFZ Can This Team Win It All This Year?

We've got 2 days to grab a QB
Otherwise no

Oh c'mon. Don't confuse me with a Dak jock sniffer. I crap on him every chance I get. But he's good enough if our defense is good enough. We're using the 49ers path to the SB. Dak is good enough for that. The NFC is up for grabs. There's no team I'm afraid of. Winning the SB is another story.

The Bills have a chance to be the first team in NFL history to lose the first 5 SBs in a row. Previously, Denver had that chance but they beat the Packers. At some point, the Vikings will have a shot at it.

Coaching and penalties say no. We'll either make a brain dead coaching decision or commit a back breaking penalty at a critical point in a big game. Trends and patterns are hard to break.

Absolutely not. We wont win the division. Gmen could get wild card spot. Middle of the pak dak and LVE and linebacking corps (not parsons) are deficient. We may not make it past the bears this weekend due to the running game. LVE will be shredded.

Sitting at 5-2 after 7 games with a very winnable game this week then a bye. Top 5 defense without question. Offense a work in progress but a top offense the last two years. Two wins behind the Iggles. Buffalo and KC dominating in the AFC, right now probably better than anything the NFC has to offer.

Can this team continue to play dominating defense while growing as an offense into an above average offense at least, making it a contender for the whole enchilada? Are we one player away? If so, who is that player? What would you trade to get him?

Or maybe you think that Philly, Buffalo and KC are too good and we would be better sitting pat and putting into next year and the year after. In that case we would sit tight and develop our talent to peak in the next couple of years.

Where do you stand on this? I, myself, think that we can win it all this year with great defensive play and an offense that can grind it out but also put up a lot of points like they have in the past. This team gets after quarterbacks so even the 3 outstanding ones on the 3 teams I mentioned will struggle with pressure in their faces. I wanna go all in this year. Get a top receiver or even an offensive linemen that solidifies the offense.

We have no chance. Vastly better teams have come and gone in the last 27 years that couldn't get past the divisional playoffs, this team isn't some sort of exception.

Our roster has holes, our HC sucks, and Jerry Jones is still at the helm. Of course we aren't winning it all.

When a Jones isn't in the lockerroom addressing the team after every game, you'll know we have finally taken a step in the right direction.

No I just look at his last 2 starts against decent teams which were the 49ers and Tampa Bay and extrapolate that to not surviving the playoffs.

I hope I'm wrong.

But I don't see that happening.

If you don't know, I can't help you. Carry on lad

Name your lame posse.
Are they squeamish to be seen with you?
Do they throw you dirty looks when you are not watching?
This "we" stuff is lame.
I bet your posse would frag you when you are not watching....

Your banter is what is lame. Last three words for the likes of you....Let's go Cowboys!!

Absolutely, especially after our Superbowl wins in 2016 and 2021!!!

Defense is good enough to carry us. The problem is you have teams that have both a good Defense and a good offense this year. So versus the Eagles isn't looking to rosy right now in the playoffs.

The defense isn’t good enough to carry us all the way. Once we get to December and January the offense has got to start sustaining drives and scoring more points. We found out against Philly that we’re going to need more offense to beat good teams. The defense is only going to be able to hold up for so long. Our defense still has issues against the run.

This defense is not going to make this most inept Offense of our SB Champions.
LOL.......yes the tooth fairy is real so is Santa!!!!

Whatever happens, fans/media rarely see it coming.

There was not a general fan/media expectation for a Super Bowl win during the 1992 offseason.

In the 2020 offseason, there were many posts about the Cowboys possibly having the best interior DL in the league and overall high expectations.
- The season ended with the worst defensive performance in team history.

Very few had high expectations for the 2016 season, especially after Romo was injured in the preseason.

Winning in the playoffs often comes down to just a few issues:
- Health of key players.
- Matchups.

In last season's playoff game:
- Tyron was terrible due to a bad ankle.
- The 49ers were one of the worst matchups for the Cowboys due to the Niners unique run blocking scheme.
- The Cowboys run defense had it's 2nd worst game of the season with 169 rushing yards allowed.

It's always something. That's the problem.
