It’s possible. They’ll need a few breaks, and to peak at the right time.

And I’d rather peak later than earlier anyway. The teams that dominate September-October always seem to fizzle late.

If we can still stack wins while our offense finds its footing, we could be in a nice spot if we end up with the current defense and a hot offense in December.

Get there?
Yes.

There's no team that really stands out in the NFC.
I would say Philly, but we know them.

Everyone else has warts, including San Francisco.
Besides, I think we'd have payback on our minds, and this defense is a little tougher than last year's.

But if we go against the Bills or the Chiefs, who I think will represent the AFC, we'll get slaughtered because we simply don't have the offense, and we'll keep our defense on the field, wearing them down in the process.

I think they can if they can trade for a real #1 WR. That would make them a real threat coming out of the NFC.

Would certainly not bet on it, but would not rule it out either

I don't think any NFC team are beating the Chiefs or Bills in the SB. As good as the Cowboys defense is, I don't think they are elite enough to shut down a high powered offense. Similar to the way Seattle did to Denver. But who knows, the defense could still be improving.

Sitting at 5-2 after 7 games with a very winnable game this week then a bye. Top 5 defense without question. Offense a work in progress but a top offense the last two years. Two wins behind the Iggles. Buffalo and KC dominating in the AFC, right now probably better than anything the NFC has to offer.

Can this team continue to play dominating defense while growing as an offense into an above average offense at least, making it a contender for the whole enchilada? Are we one player away? If so, who is that player? What would you trade to get him?

Or maybe you think that Philly, Buffalo and KC are too good and we would be better sitting pat and putting into next year and the year after. In that case we would sit tight and develop our talent to peak in the next couple of years.

Where do you stand on this? I, myself, think that we can win it all this year with great defensive play and an offense that can grind it out but also put up a lot of points like they have in the past. This team gets after quarterbacks so even the 3 outstanding ones on the 3 teams I mentioned will struggle with pressure in their faces. I wanna go all in this year. Get a top receiver or even an offensive linemen that solidifies the offense.

Where do you stand?
I said it earlier that this could be our year as we weren't overhyped or made a big splash in free agency.

We need to continue to improve, which I think we will, AND make another move before the trade deadline. We definitely can beat Philly, but we need to pick up a player or 2.

Philly is going all in. We need to go all in to beat them!

Didn’t you think Detroit would score 38 points last week?
MY answer is still "NO." If you can't handle that then go WAAAAAAH that someone else has a different answer/opinion to the original thread question than yourself.

You were close though. You were only off by 32 points. Can’t imagine someone watching this season and calling for the Bears and Lions to put up 70 points on this defense.

Because the NFC is loaded with QBs....Excluding the Cowboys the best records in the NFC have Hurts, Cousins, and Daniel Jones as QBs.

I worry about Dak going into a shootout type scenario with a Mahomes or Allen, but the NFC is a dumpster fire this year at the QB position with Brady and Rogers trending down.
Can Dak win one? Sure. Nick Foles, Joe Flacco and Stafford got a ring. Are the odds in our favor? Not really.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Nick Foles, Elias Manning x2...I've seen crazier things happen.
Can't argue with that. If our defense keeps up this level of play and grabs a few more turnovers, anything can happen. Passing game has to be better though. Even those marginal QBs made big throws in the playoffs when they had to.

It's the weakest overall league strength I have seen in the NFL in a long time. Now or never.

Buffalo is a better team but we might get to the dance
