I know a lot of people roll out their quarterbacks and there's the old Mantra of well that limits your field but what you need more than field is time with today's rules an offensive player can get open if he just has a little time. Nobody's saying you got to roll them all the way to the sidelines last year we ran that option where he could hand off to Zeke keep it and run or keep it and throw.
That play alone kept people from stacking the Box. Got to attack all parts of the field.

Nobody screwed the Cowboys, the Cowboys screwed themselves.

There are 2 people that know what happened with Elliott - Zeke and Tiffany Thompson. Harsh punishment? It sure was, but he needed to show way better judgment not only here, but certainly in other dealings. Hopefully he matures, because he’s a special player.

With all that said, the Cowboys for once - in 2016, showed great capability to handle adversity i.e. losing their starting qb in the preseason. They showed virtually none of that in 2017. I still maintain this is a culture thing, an attitude, and it permeates the entire operation from the top. Jerry almost any time there is a key injury or in this case a suspension, begins with the excuses. It trickles down from there.

The Patriots, Steelers, teams that consistently win, don’t look for excuses, they just play. It hardens them, it toughens them. Look no farther than Brady’s suspension last year. The Cowboys remain soft, and that culture, or lack of accountability, starts from the top, and it likely won’t change.

Someone made a great point about our offensive line on TV and I mentioned this last year, was that our offensive line were better run blockers than pass blockers. Seriously, you have to get at least a couple of pass-blocking swing tackles/guards to help with the passes IMO. Not only that, but our offensive philosophy needs to change, as I've said already a million times.

Defenses are calling out our plays and beating us to our route destination and you can't have that. We need to be able to set up the safety and we don't. It's like we do what we do and try to beat teams, vs, finding out their tendencies, and attacking them. Our defense is up and down also, we need to play a pressure packaged defense, not a soft zone. All in all, I'm just depressed because I don't see hardly any of this coming to fruition but oh well.
