Can we beat Atlanta?

This team has played poorly-to-average in stretches of every game after the season opener, and you think it's going to be enough to beat the Atlanta Falcons? I don't know if you've noticed or not, but these aren't your normal Atlanta Falcons anymore. This team is every bit as good as the Giants or Eagles. Unless Dallas plays its best game of the year on defense, it's not going to get it done.

Maybe you missed the Giants game, but we played terribly in that game and still almost won.

So, it follows that if we can play the Giants down to the final second before losing -- without even playing well -- we might be able to play a team "as good as the Giants" and have a chance to win.

This was true also with 5-0 Denver who had Tom Brady STEAMING and growing horns yesterday at the end of the game.

If Romo doesnt regress and we cut down our mistakes then yes We can beat the Falcons.

Another thing I'm counting on is Felix Jones Getting healthy.

we've lost 2 winnable games against undefeated teams--is it reasonable to think we can beat Atlanta a home after the bye--yes

I agree.
This team plays up to the competition. They led two so far unbeaten teams in the 4th quarter. That doesn't mean that they should be 5-0 or something. It's just that they're capable of playing a good game (or make the other team look bad, however you want to spin it). This game will be close too, I don't see us getting our butts kicked in the first half like the 49ers did. Will we win it? I'd doubt that given the game yesterday. But it sure is possible.

Every bit as good as a team that needed 4 turnovers to beat us by 2?

So if we limit our penalties and tos we should beat them, right?

Your logic is as flawed as your knowledge of QB play.

I know the obvious answer is "yes", just on the any given Sunday logic.

I'm asking in more general terms. Do the masses feel like we have a legit shot against the Falcons.

I haven't seen them play much, but they seem to be pretty darn good from what I have seen.

I think having two weeks helps because we'll get some injuries healed up (hopefully Roy and FJ will return). I don't think it'll matter that we have two weeks to prepare for them from a coaching stand point, because I think our coaches (Wade) just aren't very good.

So.... will we beat Atlanta?

I think it will be a tough game but yes I think Dallas can win the game. Biggest opponent the Cowboys have faced is themselves.

We will beat the Falcons. Our season will get on track after the bye and after we start Austin. I have faith.:starspin

Quoted For Truth.

The Cowboys can beat anyone. They can also lose to anyone.

Of course they can beat Atlanta, but I wouldn't bet on it. Atlanta is playing good, solid football, while Dallas is making the same mistakes that have frustrated us for years.

No. We will not beat the Falcons. Unless the defense has a MONSTER game. Which I very seriously doubt will happen.

The fact remains, can anyone answer, will Miles Austin be starting?

They blew out SF...so what

Other than that they've looked very ordinary and their defense can be had big time. I'm quite sure they'll put some pts up on, but I'm also quite sure we can score a bunch on them too. Especially if Roy Williams and Felix Jones are back.

No.

As long as Wade is our coach, I dont like our chances. It's that simple. The guy is horrible.

I almost would have preferred if we lost, then a possibility would have been Wade getting canned.

Wade as head coach feels like Bledsoe at QB. We all know what we have in him, and it does NOTHING to inspire you. At least with a change of face, and a potential spark, there's a chance.

I'd rather take the chance of the unknown with Garrett as an interm than keep Wade and waddle around in mediocrity and the same play week in and week out.

Our two losses are to undefeated teams...and we could have won both of those games. So yes, despite the fact that this team is all over the map, I like our chances at home vs Atlanta.

I agree. I live in atl and I watch all of their games. the front seven defensivly is not all that great they struggle defending the run in all of the games they had before SF. I mean fragile Freddy ran for over 100 on them. The secondary in not that much better they constantly bite on the double move by recievers and they are young and unexperianced. I feel if we start the game with the run and keep grinding it out those guys will get frustrated real quick plus it should open up more playaction passes because those guys will bite and bite hard on play action

Flo has to play great against Abraham, and we better cover Gonzales. Roddy White has also become a "go to" WR.

I still think it starts with the Alt. running game and Turner.

Do you need to post the same thought multiple times in the same thread?

if we don't turn the ball over
and flo has no penalties
and we force some turnovers
and Tony and Jessica get back together
and we trade for TO
and...

seriously, if we do not turn the ball over, we can beat anyone
