Can we beat the Giants?

First of all, all we did was shut down an average offense today. We won't fair as well against the Giants in New York.

Second, Brad Johnson may very well get sacked 10+ times. The old man just holds the ball too long and is good under pressure.

We'll lose by 3-4 scores.

With BJ under center and three-fourths of our starting secondary on the bench? Unlikely, but that's why they play the games.

Yes...we just beat a decent 5-2 Tampa team...Giants are good as well but are beatable...D may play just as well as they did today, special teams may step it up so we actually start past the 17 yard line...lots of factors to take into account...either way its football and anything is possible...so yes I believe we can win.

I believe the same.

NY needed overtime to beat Cincy, and lost to Cleveland.

NY is a pretty balanced ball team though. As long as we don't beat ourselves, like Pittsburgh did today, we can win.

:stupid:

I give us one chance in three. I'll still be watching.

I agree with HH on this.

This was a great victory, but it was very average and we faced a QB that is similar to Brad Johnson, but with more mobility.

Even during the final drive, the Bucs were limited on the calls they could play because Garcia's arm is so weak.

Even though Tennesse is undefeated, I think the Giants are the best team in Football.

Personally, I wish some of things that are going on in New York would go on here. Like suspending players and benching guys that are not getting the job done, like we saw Coughlin do to Brandon Jacobs today.

The question should be, can Wade repeat this defensive game next week.
If he can keep it up, the Boys are a shoo-in.

And with Romo possibly in the game, there is a good chance the Cowboys can pull it off.:)

Go, Cowboys! And give the ball to the running backs to pound the GIants into submission.

This defense alone won't make us a shoo-in no matter how well they play next week. The Giants defense is more effective and aggressive than ours. They have an offense that can score points with ughh, Eli. We have an offense that is very limited with Brad's inability to consistently throw even intermediate passes let alone deep.

When the Giants defensive front overloads to stop the run and pressure the slow footed Brad we will be dead meat. Even if Brad manages to heave the ball deep it flutters like a butterfly and stops along the sidelines to pollinate.

Bollinger can scramble and has zip on his deep passes. Unless we can come up with a stunning game plan and execute I don't see how we can make them pay when they brutally rush or excessively blitz.

If I am wrong I will gladly be the first to post and eat my words.

Unless you are starting Brad Johnson

People saying we have a chance are severely underestimating the level to which Brad Johnson sucks. He is literally worse than half the starting QBs in D-1 college football.

Dallas has scored 32 more points on offense than NY.

The problem is that Dallas has allowed 83 more points on defense than NY.

Can we? Sure, anything is possible.

Will we beat the Giants without Romo? Unlikely.

With Brad Johnson thats a big negative ghost rider. This team is going to get killed, if the team had a half way decend backup the Cowboys might have a chance.

Does anybody know when
Romo
Felix
Kosier
Newman

will be back?

Don't know...you want someone to give you a phone call when they get back so you can start rooting for them again?

Unlikely. We've gone into games that looked more impossible to win that next week and got a W so it's not impossible.

Brad's probably going to throw more TD passes to their defense than our offense.

Where in the world did you get the idea I wasn't rooting for the team??? I asked a simple question about the players, if you are to assume how I think you need not reply

Fair enough. I just don't understand the concept of watching or rooting for a team that I feel has zero chance to win. I'd find something better to do.

I think it's pretty easy to assume what you're thinking, and I'll reply however I choose. Thanks.

only if a hurricane hits New York and the league postpones the game one week and it gives us time for Romo to heal.

exactly, there is a reason we should at least show up. If the Defense shows up again like today, and we get ANYTHING going with the run game...we have a chance with BJ at QB. I'd much rather see anyone else at QB, but it is what it is.

The Giants in the past few years have struggled against backup QBs, but this is a different case with Johnson behind center.
