This is an EXCELLENT posting. Everyone should pay attention to the Hawk Tackling segment.

The technique is sound upon initial contact between ball carrier and tackler. The tackler takes the legs out from under the ball carrier. The technique can become *intentionally* convoluted when the ball carrier's legs cannot be bind immediately and the danger to the ball carrier's lower legs region increases exponentially the longer the ball carrier's feet remain in motion. Any physics safety limit gets erased when applied force/torque becomes a significant factor with the knee and ankle joints. Applied force is less for the upper and lower leg bones or even feet but just as evident.

It is a good technique if the tackler can get the ball carrier onto the ground upon first contact. It is not so much one when the ball carrier's lower body remains in motion.
I actually got called out for tackling like this in highschool the coach was like hey don’t just grab the guy and force him to trip on you.

Essentially Seattle is forcing you to just go down. Do you want three more yards or you wanna be able to sleep painlessly the next 100 nights?

This is the Seahawks tackle technique they teach, reason I knew this is because we use this technique without the roll with our HS team. It's a technique that puts players at risk for injury. Start at the 4:20 mark.

Any coaching staff caught intentionally trying to teach their players to tackle in a way that hurts opposing players on purpose, should be heavily fined and suspended.

For those in denial this is and has been Pete Carroll's Seahawks m.o.

Go through trolling the nation and you can see fans if other teams punking on the hawks and how dirty they are.

Trash team with a trash coach. It was our duty to take out the trash. Well done Cowboys.

Agreed and they need to be made an example of. The Saints' punishment seems to not have been enough of a deterrent for Seattle.

Yeah, the Seahawks have been a dirty team since Carroll took over. Lots of drug busts for adderall and other masking agents on a bunch of their star players. Commit PI and holding every snap and dare the refs to call it every time. Cheap shots and trying to goad the other team to get the flag for retaliating. A bunch of front-running prima donnas and cowards.

Look at Super Bowl 49. After the Butler pick the Patriots had to run a play out of their own end zone, but the Seahawks got caught trying to jump the snap. 5 yard penalty, so Brady takes a knee and Bruce Irvin tried to punch Rob Gronkowski and then ran away like a coward. That's everything about them in a nutshell right there.

Apparently, they think our forum members are delusional about this topic:

Meanwhile, their delusion insists that the refs engineered the Cowboy's win:rolleyes::

Lol, Im suprised they are over here marinating in that L. As a fan its a good time to take an internet break after your team gets beat down.

Hey hawk fans, consider yourself fortunate the score was as close as it was. Yall where out classed from the beginning. Take that beating and move on.

Could have ended Hurns career. It will be hard to come back from that injury. They say he will be ready for training camp.

Injuries also Beez and Cooper. Tried it on Elliot. Looney saw it and said something to him and the ref. Ref didn’t seem to care. Watched some media stuff today and they didn’t mention it at all...

The twisting of his fingers on the stiff arm was pretty pathetic as well. Any hawk fan who denies that is full of crap. Screw them and their trash team.

I saw a horse collar tackle on the Hurns play. In fact, he was getting pulled down by the back of his shoulder pads at about the moment it happened.

That's how Roy Williams caused Terrell Owens (as an Eagle) to fracture an ankle in 2004 and that's what led to the rule.
