Can we please play McFadden and Switzer?

Just asking ........hell we have to lose. He's a three-down option with more speed.......why they refuse to dress him is odd, to put it mildly.

Remember how excited we were to see Bealey and Switzer on the field together? Never materialized...I wonder why. I'm guessing either Switzer has a totally disappointed coaching staff with his development or Linehan has not designed any plays. You would if nothing but decoy, he could bring something to the offense with Bealey

I think we're not seeing much of Switzee as he doesn't block. We're a offense that likes to be balanced in run/pass plays. So they need receivers out there who can double up as blockers.

So you're right, he's literally a decoy on offense. They have him run that jet sweep as a wrinkle to get defenses to back off the LOS.

Agree, McFadden needs to be out there.
They need to dump that jet sweep play. It hasn't worked since game 2 of the 2016 season at SF, or whatever game it was, 2nd or 3rd game.
It worked with Lucky, then, and a few times after that. But it killed us in the playoffs against GB. And is killing us now.

I still say we should have gone LB instead of Switzer. I said it then, and Say it now.
this coaching staff and their stubbornness and wanting that Dunbar type player that never works is beyond stupid.

Bt the defenses reads what this play is, and comes up to the LOS and stuffs it.
That play needs to be nuked from the playbook that doesn't fool anyone.

We are running the ball ok.

Morris and Smith are better than McFadden.

So activate McFadden for 2 carries a game?

Is it realistic to have Switzer and Beasley on the field at the same time? I'm not so sure.

I'd like to see Mcfadden get some carries. I want Switz nowhere near a football. I have yet to see him do anything impressive with one & makes me scream "GO DOWN" anytime he touches one.

I'm thinking more speed.....until our RBs start breaking off 10 or 20+ yards or take a couple to the house, the running game will not get any respect.

how do we know they are better if McFadden is not active, then is only given 2 carries when he was.

I think so. See New England.

Maybe, however, Switzer and Beasley are tiny in comparison to the NE combo of Amendola / Edelman:

Switzer: 5'10" 174lb
Beasley: 5'8" 174lb

as a point of comparison:

Amendola: 5'11" 190lb
Edelman: 5'10" 200lb

Switzer isn't Dunbar...not even close....to being that type of player.

Well what the hell makes you think he’s better? He essentially hasn’t played in 2 years. The coaching staff is not playing the best rb just for the hell of it? Morris is averaging 4.8 yards per carry as the starter in 3 games...I’d say that’s not the problem.

I find it hard to believe we invested a 4th round pick ( Switzer ) for KR.....my thing is you drafted him. Use him and let him play through his mistakes. The reward of he and Beasley together is certainly worth the risk.

Morris doesn't scare anyone and he adds nothing as a receiver. That's why he replaced by Smith on passing downs. Darren alone can do what they're using Morris and Smith for but with more speed.
