Bob you know what is so sad we won't put a reciver on the field who can't block but we will put recivers on the field who can't get open. Smh
Or catch the ball when it hits them in the hands. McFadden is not the answer and neither is Switzer. I don't have a problem with throwing them in but if the OL doesn't get back on track it won't matter. The offense lives and dies with the trench players.

Amen. And the problems are much deeper than Tyron Smith missing two games and playing hurt. Our other Pro Bowlers are not playing up to par; and Jonathan Cooper and La'el Collins have proven to be bigger dropoffs from Ronald Leary and Doug Free than anybody thought they would.

What sucks is the Cowboys still need defensive help, but will probably have to use draft picks on offensive linemen (and receivers) this spring.

That's the fear. The FO invested so many 1st rd picks in OL that the defense never recovered. It looks like they may repeat that plan next year. Its a tough cycle.

My biggest fear involves Tyron. Two straight years of back issues. Those don't go away (although DeMarcus Lawrence seems okay now).

At this point why?

The time to make adjustments and try lineup changes has come and gone. That should have been done while we still had something to play for.

Its like closing the barn door once the horse is already out.....................kinda pointless

Agreed. Smith has been an outstanding LT and its seems this back thing may be chronic. Back problems and big men are not a good thing.

It is far from pointless when it comes to players like Rod Smith, Butler, Brown, Switzer, Swaim, Jarwin, and maybe Gathers on offense and Awuzie and White on defense. We need to see what they can do going into FA and the draft.

Agreed. With Dez, T-Will, and Beasley just not producing, I would like to see the Cowboys start Noah Brown, Ryan Switzer, and Brice Butler down the stretch (if the team is eliminated). We could have some offensive answers right here and not even know it.

I am more about Rico than slow as molasses Witten than starting McFadden..

This!

I know it’s “blasphemous” to talk about replacing Witten, but it has to be done. Has to. Yeah, sure, he can catch 7 passes for a total of 14 yards every few games but there isn’t anybody game planning to take him away anymore.

Get Rico in there and see what you have! He’s a giant with a giant wingspan and can hurt other teams down the field.

And I’m tired of hearing “if Witten is still here, he will play most of the snaps because he won’t come out.” BS! Who the heck is the coach? Him? No, he’s not. Tell him he’s out.

If they can take Zeke out of the game, then they sure as hell can take the old sloth out too.

I honestly think he either retires or expresses a willingness to accept a lesser role. His leadership is off the chart, so I have no problem with him being on the team. Just not starting ..........

Just asking ........hell we have to lose. He's a three-down option with more speed.......why they refuse to dress him is odd, to put it mildly.

Remember how excited we were to see Bealey and Switzer on the field together? Never materialized...I wonder why. I'm guessing either Switzer has a totally disappointed coaching staff with his development or Linehan has not designed any plays. You would if nothing but decoy, he could bring something to the offense with Bealey
Agreed
