Can we please play McFadden and Switzer?

Morris doesn't scare anyone and he adds nothing as a receiver. That's why he replaced by Smith on passing downs. Darren alone can do what they're using Morris and Smith for but with more speed.

It’s not 2015 anymore...

That was one hell of a 4th round pick, wasn't it? A Smurf receiver like the one you already have, but who doesn't see the field on offense and who you don't trust to field punts inside the ten.

Well what the hell makes you think he’s better? He essentially hasn’t played in 2 years. The coaching staff is not playing the best rb just for the hell of it? Morris is averaging 4.8 yards per carry as the starter in 3 games...I’d say that’s not the problem.

Nothing in hell makes me feel that way. But in Cowboys hell he can't be any worse. I think Morris and Smith combo is fine, but having McFadden as an option can't hurt.

Agree, McFadden needs to be out there.
They need to dump that jet sweep play. It hasn't worked since game 2 of the 2016 season at SF, or whatever game it was, 2nd or 3rd game.
It worked with Lucky, then, and a few times after that. But it killed us in the playoffs against GB. And is killing us now.

I still say we should have gone LB instead of Switzer. I said it then, and Say it now.
this coaching staff and their stubbornness and wanting that Dunbar type player that never works is beyond stupid.

The jet sweep is terrible..yet we run two sweep plays per game with fred and zack pulling out that gain 7-8 yards each and never run them again. That play can be run 6-8 times per game or until they show they can stop it.

I think it’s always attempted to be more of a set up play than anything else... not sure what they trying to set up though..

Another sack maybe?

Apparently this organization viewed McFadden done, though everyone wanted to point at AMorris.

Switzer, on the other hand, was more hype than value.

This team is suffering on a bad off-season with talent evaluation.....again. No depth, no talent...and the easy & often blame on some (especially Dez)....the continued excuse making to resolve major depth issues (Lee/Witten)...and the unwillingness to let some go immediately (Heath/Scandrick), and the unwillingness to let some stay (Church...that's right.....Church).

Most importantly.....the coaching staff is embarrassing.

Ah, point taken.
Uncoverable is Uncoverable. They may not get yac, but it'll help Dak greatly to have to guys who can get open most of the time. That should open Witten up more for matchups with linebackers.

It's stupid they haven't tried it with how awful the offense is right now

The good news with Switzer is when he’s not making dumb mistakes he’s shown some kick return ability and has had at least two really good returns this year. I have a feeling he’ll slowly catch on but eventually he’ll get there

I find it hard to believe we invested a 4th round pick ( Switzer ) for KR.....my thing is you drafted him. Use him and let him play through his mistakes. The reward of he and Beasley together is certainly worth the risk.

Switzer sucks...And he is an even worse returner. Have never seen anyone as scared to return kicks.

Not only that we've got to do a better job of disguising are play calls good Lord I said this a couple weeks ago first play of the game Dak walks up to the huddle says two words and breaks the huddle

Now every defender on the fields going running play!!!
I'm willing to bet this goes on throughout the game I mean for god sakes Dak say

Mary Had a Little Lamb 131 lead

break

at least give the appearance that you may be calling a pass play geez where are the coaches
Just one of the many little things that Drive me crazy about are highly intellectual coaching staff

I think we're not seeing much of Switzee as he doesn't block. We're a offense that likes to be balanced in run/pass plays. So they need receivers out there who can double up as blockers.

So you're right, he's literally a decoy on offense. They have him run that jet sweep as a wrinkle to get defenses to back off the LOS.

Bob you know what is so sad we won't put a reciver on the field who can't block but we will put recivers on the field who can't get open. Smh

That's understandable but we been in too many known passing situations or a complete wr set without him on the field. This goes back to coaching.
