Most fans bash their teams for not winning it all every year it's part of who we are as American's, we want to win everything all the time. No harm in that, it's what's made us great. I believe the main reason we haven't performed to standard is we lack leadership on this team. Coaches don't have it and the players don't have it. It doesn't matter if it's sports or general employment, if you don't have someone pushing the employee's to perform their best, some folks will slack off and do the minimium and in the end the ultimate goal will not be reached.

You can't tell me if we had a coach like a Jimmy Johnson, Mike Tomlin, Ken Whisenhunt, Tony Dungy or Bill Cowher coaching this team we would have failed the last two years. Heck, I think if Bill would have stuck around two more years and waited for some of these players to get more seasoned he would have won.

Wade is no leader and never will be.

NE suffered the loss of their best player for the entire season, save a dozen plays or so, lost several key starters, and still went 11-5. They were - I think - the first 11-5 team to miss the playoffs under the current format.

The Ravens lost more games to starters than any other NFL team, and lost in a close game in the AFC championship.

On the other hand, the Cowboys lost their QB for 3 games and finished the season with 20 of 22 starters on the field.

Yes, I can see how Cowboy fans would want to blame the 2008 failure on injuries.

NE suffered an injury and it cost them so don't sit there and tell me injury do not matter they went from a SB contender to out of the playoffs. I can tell you there is not 1 NE fan who does not believe had Brady not been injured they would have been contending for another championship not just trying to make the post season. It is great banter to sit there and say injuries do not make a difference they do. Overall where injuries strike a team can matter it is very difficult to have quality depth at all position some area of the team it is a bit easier to overcome, others can devastate a team. Dallas did not lose 1 RB we lost both we lost a key member of the line and then once Holland was able to come in we lost him as well. I don't blame all of the Cowboys problems on injury alone but yes injuries do matter and yes they can have a big effect on a team

Why do we talk about our players so bad, were getting worst than the skins fans, at least they bash maybe 1 or 2 of their players, we bash everyone except Ware and Witten. We talk bad about Romo, Austin, Crayton, RW, Flo, Hamlin, Ellis, so on and so on...I mean this is the off season, last season is over, Romo will be our QB, now support him and stop bringing him down all the time, even I have been caught up talking negative about a couple players...

TO is gone, lets support Austin, we know he's no TO and may never amount to anything, but hey lets give him a shot, never know.. I'll be happy with 3 catches a game sometimes 4 or 5, meaning he might grab 40 to 50 passes.

This thread is just to say we talk bad about our team, just look at the threads and see for urself......

Like I said even over at Extreme they have hope, we have panic and expect to win just because we are America's team, which is not gonna happen...

Boy I couldn't imagine if we had the internet when we went 1-15, Aikman and Irvin would have been blasted so hard they would have asked to be traded....... joke....

Blast away......And come with a better answer than "If you dont want to here negative comments, don't open thread or respond" that's a cop out......
Most of the bashing going on now isn't by Cowboys' fans, it's by TO fans and they'll be gone pretty soon.

Look dude, you can keep saying this till you are blue in the face but NE played one of the easiest schedules ever last yr.

What kepy players did the Ravens lose to injury? Some of the replacements played far better than the guys who were starters.

As for us, you are being blind if you think this team didnt have a major injury problem last yr. Tony Romo might have been on the field for 13 games, but he was never the same after the broken finger. To say otherwise is pure ignorance. Flozelle Adams should be commended for playing every game, but he did so playing with basically one arm the entire season. LG was a revolving door. Felix Jones and Miles Austin were significnat losses because they were our biggest potential big play threats. Roy Williams the WR was never anywhere near a 100% here. Jason Witten played the whole season with a couple of major issues. We had major issues at safety all yr because of injuries. CB was a trouble spot most of the yr because of injuries. Hell we even lost our punter and that clearly had an effect on ST.

It isnt an excuse, its just a fact. This team had big injury problems.

Not wrong at all, the "bashing" is by the TO jock sniffers, the questioning is by Cowboys fans.

Sigh...

I know this advice will not be listened to, nor taken, but oh well.

There is nothing wrong with fans who are upset with the performance of the team, coaches, players, or who simply do nto have high expectations for 2009 given the last decade and longer. Expectations are high because this is the Dallas Cowboys. The results have simply not been good enough across the board and over an extended period of time. Instead of getting upset that people are critical of the team, coaches, players and expectations of 2009 make a list of who the critical posters are and put all them on Ignore so that you can have your own happy little homer forum.

To the critics who get just as upset that people are optimistic, "loyal" to a fault, and critical of you for daring to express your negative views. Instead of getting all offended by the homers that you drive crazy with your "negativism" make a list and put all of them on Ignore so you can have your own happy little this is reality forum.

This message has been brought to you by one of your very tired referees. I now return you to your previously scheduled gripe sessions about each other. No wonder so many of you are single.

I think you should probably turn the music up, dance, and party. But that's just me, Mr. Vegas.

We don't need to though. We have the talent to compete in this league. Compared to our talent and potential, this league really is nothing. Certainly nothing like it used to be. This is now the day 'n age of the Cinderella Team in the NFL. And the Dallas Cowboys have a greater chance then most to accomplish this feet.

Have you read your own sig?

I'm optimistic about the upcoming season. We did some much needed housecleaning and a few additions that should make for a good year of football. The "bashing" going on here is getting a little old but what can you expect when the boys as a team hasn't stepped up to fulfill potential?
This offseason is taking way too long and as a result giving us too much time to analyze things. Let's not forget that us Cowboy fans have 5 rings to celebrate while some teams don't even have 1. It could be worse.

What some see as bashing/negative, other intended as constructive criticism. It's all in how the reader interprets what they've read.

Some see pointing out a players' mistakes as bashing. To me it's just that, pointing out mistakes (and where he can/needs to improve). For my part, if I do criticize a player, I try to generally offer support for my position (specific plays, stats, etc).

Actually there are a number of posters from all "camps..." that have given Romo constructive criticism. Why does it anger you so?
