I always thought the move was going to be benefitial barring some growing pains. La’el is so talented but not football smart and not a hard worker. We hate a culture that promotes that yet we are mad when we move on from those guys for the hard workers. Talent isn’t the only thing that defines success, this RT switch illustrates that perfectly.

So everyone was soo quick to bash Biadasz for a few bad moments in his young career against the best DT's in the NFL.

Yet those same people seem are reluctant to compliment him on his quality play this year so far.

Anyone who thinks Steele is good enough is a football idiot. He is serviceable to just above and that is all.

Anyone dumb enough to believe PFF means anything needs help getting out of a room with only one exit that has flashing neon sign above it.

AND you are and always have been wrong

No, I'm early to recognize reality. You need to watch other G's around the league.

Besides this whole thread is about rankings and they say he's 12th. So, there are clearly those who also don't see him as the best.

Just out of curiosity, where does Collins rank?

I think he has been struggling mightily
So far he’s played rather badly
I bet the bengals wish they had Steele and would gladly return Collins

817Gill - when Collins was released by Dallas 6 months ago (March 17th); the consensus I saw here at CZ - plus reviewing other Cowboys fan sites at the time - was "Good riddance to bad rubbish."
There was a small number - IMO - of CZers that overly expressed their disapproval of the move.
But the vast majority of fans were glad the Cowboys cut the cord...especially after Collins challenged his league suspension in federal court...on top of his lackadaiscal rehab from recent injuries.
The "pouting" about La'el being cut was at best 30% of the reaction-response.

Steele > Collins.

That was pretty evident last year.

Collins hasn’t played well since 2019.

Steele is younger, smarter, less injury prone, works harder, and costs less.

Easy decision.

For me it wasn't letting Lael go for Steele, it was retaining Lael for LG/LT/RT. Our line isn't deep at all and look we had to pay how much for Peters when we already had Lael. Lael at LG is just as good if not better than Peters at LG.

Steele had one bad, terrible, frustrating game, but has otherwise been solid.

He is allowed one all season, otherwise back to the drawing board

Once Steele showed he could be a solid option, the writing was on the wall. I brought Collins up as a possible cut prior to fa and many thought I was crazy. This staff wasn't high on Collins as he just wasn't reliable. Good thing about Steele, he still hasn't reached his peak and we don't have to pay him for another yr.

So this means Tyler Smith is the 27th ranked LT in the NFL for one game or the entire season?
They don’t separate LT and RT, I believe all tackles are pooled together and that tweet is a bit out of date that was his rating after week 1.

Never get the picking certain players thing. I want all of our players to play well and am happy to give props when they do.

If you’ve got a star on your helmet I want you to play well and am glad when you do!

Oh word every NFL evaluation and reputable source so far is idiotic and you’re the real genius here? Wow can’t believe I actually believed real NFL evaluations over a guy in a fan forum. How stupid of me.

Just check Duke Manyweather’s Twitter out he talked about him multiple times. Duke’s one of the most reputable OL trainers in the league, I assume he probably knows a bit more than us.
