817Gill - when Collins was released by Dallas 6 months ago (March 17th); the consensus I saw here at CZ - plus reviewing other Cowboys fan sites at the time - was "Good riddance to bad rubbish."
There was a small number - IMO - of CZers that overly expressed their disapproval of the move.
But the vast majority of fans were glad the Cowboys cut the cord...especially after Collins challenged his league suspension in federal court...on top of his lackadaiscal rehab from recent injuries.
The "pouting" about La'el being cut was at best 30% of the reaction-response.
Then this goes out to the 30% brotha

For me it wasn't letting Lael go for Steele, it was retaining Lael for LG/LT/RT. Our line isn't deep at all and look we had to pay how much for Peters when we already had Lael. Lael at LG is just as good if not better than Peters at LG.
La’el has hip and back issues and has made it known he does not want to be bent over as a G all game. It’s just not a realistic option no matter how much we romanticize those early games in 2016.

Collins was horrible last year. He appears to be a low effort, knucklehead, glad they moved on. Talent wise Collins could be a good guard, but he is nothing special at Tackle, even on his best days.
