I think, CC incorrectly stated the catch happened in NY. It didn't.

Disrespect?

He was singing our praises on defense all night. Honestly, hes one of the best out there
I don’t know if he’s one of the best but I don’t mind him. I’d much rather hear him than Joe Buck any day of the week. I’m stating to notice though no one likes anyone lol. People talk about how bad Romo is, Aikman, Buck, Collinsworth…..not sure what people really want.

Buck bugs me way more. Cowboys are always a lightning rod.

It’s always compelling to talk up a “David” storyline and the Cowboys are easy to paint as a “Goliath” with JJ, the death star, 5 SBs, the star, franchise net worth etc… he was just trying to focus on some positive storylines for NYG, and by the end, he could do nothing but talk about the carnage and bloody remains of the GMen lol
Agree. Buck and even Aikman at times bug me.

I thought he was fine. They’re always going to play up the OBJ catch any time Dallas plays @ NYG, especially in primetime. We just have to accept that.
Yep.

And honestly, I really have to question people who think he was too pro-Giants last night and didn't give enough respect to Dallas. He almost orgasmed on air multiple times talking about the defense, Quinn, Parsons, etc.

I swear some here just want the announcers to talk all Cowboys and never say anything positive about the other team, LOL.

Blowout win and people are still trying to find something to play victim about. This after telling us up and down not to pay attention to anything the sports media says. SMH.
We don't care what CC thinks. But we are just ranting amongst friends here. We all know msm is agenda driven. The truth is just a side bar.

He was just talking about the Giants and not disrespecting the Cowboys. I had zero issues with Collings last night.
I would hate being in the booth. Somewhat like being a Cowboys QB. Can never make anyone happy no matter what you do. LOL

But what's weird here is that any rational person who listened to that telecast wouldn't come away thinking that Collinsworth disrespected us.

He was positively effusive about us.

I agree with this my favorite part was when he wanted to get a mic over to Diggs son after he got the ball i thought that was a great moment

Thursday night he said something like, "America is about to find out how good Patrick Mahomes really is." Like we haven't known this for years now.

He comes prepared to talk up aspects of both teams, and gets out over his skis at times.

A couple years ago, KC opened the season on TNF. He was going on about Mahomes, mentioning how Mahomes told him pre-game how effective their offseason scheme changes have been in helping them better spread the ball around and attack defenses.

He talked that up about 3 plays into the very first drive of the season.

The other thing at play here.......... that's a tough game to call being so one sided. The announcers almost have to go out of their way to say nice things about the team getting slaughtered, which can make it seem forced...............

he was fairly even handed. I still don't understand why he brings up Beckham and the catch. He isnt even here on the Giants anymore. It was bizarre. They lost that game as well.

Hey, his comment at 10:45 in the first quarter was basically writing the obituary for the Cowboys, very prematurely. Specifically, he said that the Cowboys tried all this offseason work to stop the run, and failed.... Wow, that was especially irritating. However, his punishment was to sing the praises of the Cowboys for the next 55 minutes of game time. Hilarious!!!

Call no worries about announcers this year. Let the defense do the talking for us.
