Trigg and Mafah to the PS. I think you can try and move Schoonmaker or Mafah before the final 53.

Mafah might get cut. Trigg might sneak into the 53. He's too good to screw around and risk him getting poached. My money is on a couple surprise cuts. Are we sure Schoon and Luepke are safe?

I don’t think either is safe.

But with Schoonmaker being a 2nd rounder, I don’t think they just cut him.

Leupke provides versatility at two positions. That’s why I think he will stick around as well

Milton has really progressed. A pleasant surprise to see him the level he is at now. Getting Milton from the Panthers now looks like another great move by Jerry. Giving up a 5th and getting Milton and a 7th is pretty cheap for what could turn out to be a pretty decent backup QB.

We never heard why he was so slow to learn the system after getting to Dallas. Those wonderful Cowboy reporters never dug into it and let us know. Mingo looked good preseason last year too. Health was his biggest obstacle with his PCL landing him on IR last year. He is clearly healthy now we have to hope he stays that way. Mingo has the size, speed and physical ability to be a useful receiver. Another big night next Friday and the Cowboys have to keep him.

Jason Witten and Sean Lee are two great examples of Cowboys who made major jumps after their rookie seasons. Witten went from 35 catches as a rookie to 87 in his second year, while Sean Lee went from a reserve role with 45 tackles to becoming a starter with 131 tackles.

He had 2 goo PS games so far. Just as good if not better than Camden Brown.

But Mingo is one of these players some harp on for whatever reason. Mostly because they gave up a 4th round pick for a former 2nd round pick. And to bag on Jerry.

Mingo gets lumped into something similar to Parris Campbell did. Early round picks, but more gadget type guys who need to develop into receivers. The patience is paying off and seems to be clicking for 81

I am racking my brain to remember players that showed such improvement year to year. Both guys have been terrible but they have looked great this preseason. Good for them. Seriously can anyone remember guys that improved like this year to year? I can't.

Many fans, including myself at times seem to feel our TC depth is so great we have may trade candidates.
Now this year, yes, seems way more than usual.

In the past we all heard the repeated statement for years. We have talent, we like our guys. But yet only a few trades happened.

Trigg is interesting though. But to me he has not shown enough to push Schoonmaker off the roster. Nor Mae them keep 4 TE's.
However we do not see everything that goes on as the coaches do.

We got a problem at wr. Who stays? My Lord, we are deeeeep. Mingo is proving to be very good. Looks like T.O. Big wr with body control and long speed. Now he's healthy. Guys, somebody good will get cut. We have a good problem to have at wr. Flournoy has 2 reasons suddenly to prove he's that dude at the 3 wr spot. Cam brown, and Mingo. I'm almost tempted to play brown in the slot with ceedee and Pickens.

Mingo is going to force DAL to make a tough choice at WR.

- Turpin is a reliable & valuable returner
- Flournoy improved a lot in his 2nd year
- Mingo has (finally) shown up in his 4th year
- Brown has shown BIG potential

DAL won't be able to stash Brown on the PS
I doubt DAL dumps Turpin

Either guy could have trade value in a packaged deal (players & picks) to teams with needs at WR: SEA, CHI, ATL

Unless they opt for 6WRs, I think Mingo goes (cut or trade). I've been pulling for Mingo but 6WRs with the depth needs on DEF is tough

No. They LOVE him.

Gotta have a pure fullback in this offense, and he runs well in short yardage and has good hands. He can line up at tailback and at tight end as well in certain situations.

Not a lot of plays with the ball in his hands, but important ones.

He dropped balls in droves in Carolina.

Injuries recur. Ticking time bomb.

He and Brown will almost never play when everybody's healthy. One will be inactive. The other will be special teams and 3 snaps a game.

If injuries require a starter, give me Brown. He's a gamer that could catch 10 passes in a game. Mingo isn't.

Hopefully we can see some of Milton during the season against starter competition, to see if the play level carries over. Not due to injury obviously, but games where we're blowing the other team out or after we've secured a playoff spot.
