In the future can we just start the thread with. Let's talk about (insert player name or topic here)

No need to start off with Can we or Why is nobody talking about...

Because the Can we is almost always a yes since the poster asks anyway without receiving a yes or no answer.

And The why is nobody talking about.... is usually incorrect as others have talked about the player or topic many times.

Just saying

sarcasm off

He is quick, plays with sneaky leverage, and does an incredible job getting to the second level and sealing guys off. He’s also very disciplined. The only negative I see is that he can sometimes have trouble with quick (think Osa) DLs that try to flash around him, but he will get better with that as time goes.
I agree. Makes you wonder why they were against sliding Tyler over when Tyron was hurt.

I like Bass top but the commanders DL is pretty bad
Was what Bass and company up against any different then in the preseason? Really?
Look at how many guys look great then and then punk out.
I think Bass has real potential and has looked good in spots; but to claim he is an NFL starter?
DUMB at this time
Well, maybe a starter on a team with a real bad O line
I mean guys like Costa were NFL starters at one time for us

I just watched every offensive snap like 5x to watch each OL, and TJ Bass and Tyron were neck and neck for best lineman and the others weren’t even close.

TJ Bass is an NFL starter. Not a future starter. A starter. He gave up one bad play on a stunt where the DL CLEARLY grabbed him and held him from recovering.

I encourage everyone to watch the 1st qtr of the Commanders game and just watch how much better he is than Biadasz and Hoffman. He barely moves back on pass plays and executed on run plays beautifully.

Cannot wait to see this guy with an offseason in the weight room.
It is so nice to realize that the Guard position is not an urgent need for the draft. Left Tackle?? Still important, though.

How are you grading Mazie Smith without even knowing what the coaches want him to do on a play?
McCarthy said that Mazie Smith is doing a lot of the dirty work that goes unnoticed.
Please don't believe that conman....Mazi is a bust.

You mean it doesn't take years to show a little something? Maybe someone should tell the 1st rd pick from Michigan.

if he is good as a starter. then Tyler can move out left tackle when Tyron leaves. my biggest concern is RT. it feels like we find someone, then they get injured and never the same. Collins, now Steele

Lot of potential there and he is showing it right away unlike our first rd pick
We lucked out truly in our acquisition of OL this offseason
WE just might have no need to draft more than one more high up
Basically we need to think on Steele; though we are kind of locked in due to Jerry stupidity there.
If he makes it all the way back he is good enough to win with but at the same time we can do better
Actually center is the area of real concern in my book: Biadasz is just not good enough; and he regressed this year. I had hopes he would take another solid step further and we could resign him with some confidence but I have pretty much given up on him
I love how we "lucked out" when we constantly draft these types of players.

They aren't lucking out. They obviously are better than the majority of the league in finding and signing undrafted players that can play. How many undrafted players do we have playing on this team? I count at least 6 off the top of my head.

I think we a steal here. We have good cause to be excited. He's stepped in many times with no major drop off.

Nate Newton has liked this guy since TC (he also likes Asim Richards). I'm hoping the team has a plan for upgrading the center and moving Bass over might be an option,,, it still stings when I watch Buffalo run over people with Connor McGovern at center after we kicked him to the curb. Unbelievable.

Ideally Biadasz would get functionally stronger or better with technique/leveraging but it doesn't look like that's happening.
I had completely forgotten about Richards. What is up with him? Injured?

People seem to go into an uproar when you mention how good the Cowboys are at bringing in talent. They are arguably one of the best in the entire league at it. I don't get why that offends so many.

I just went back and reviewed. He looks like a street free agent. Maybe with a touch of palsy. I was actually embarrassed he was out there.
