The season does matter as far as it gets you in the playoffs, and how many home games. The season never mattered. Only the post season matters. The only judgements on Dak and the rest of the team will come from the next few weeks.
Best off if you just ignore him.Anyone who has watched us play the last 5 weeks and thinks we are a tier 1 team is a homer. If you want to call someone who has been a fan 45 years a bandwagon fan because they can realistically appraise our chances then have at it.
We are the #2 seed because the Eagles imploded and went 1-5 down the stretch, not because we have looked fantastic.
Well, you’re a hater so of course you take the pessimistic view. This team earned the NFC East and the #2 seed. They didn’t fold like Philthy and in fact they had some big wins against the Seahawks, Eagles and Lions and should’ve beat the fins. So they earned what they got. Sorry that pisses you off.Anyone who has watched us play the last 5 weeks and thinks we are a tier 1 team is a homer. To much in life depends literally upon NOT giving up. This is a sport, but the same principal applies to this fan. It is a reflection of real life. No, Sir...this fan supports his chosen team. Go Cowboys. Go fight!Cowboys are exactly were I expected them to be, in the playoffs. I’m surprised that they won the division, while they did their part to win it, the Eagles falling apart the last few weeks really helped.
I can’t say that I gave up on the Cowboys but I don’t trust them. This team can win against nearly any team, as much as I feel they can loose to any team. I have pretty much been conditioned to feel that way since at least 2006.
Nearly every playoff appearance has ended with a really tough loss like the Romo bobble, The Cabo Game, Vikings blowout, both GB Games, the Rams, both SF Games, and so many win and you’re in playoff type scenarios.
The Cowboys have had a historically bad playoff run since they last won the SB. It is hard to trust them. It won’t change for me until they lift another Lombardi Trophy. It’s why guys like Steven A Smith can joke about waiting for the Cowboys to eventually fail, because history has not been on our side for nearly 30 years.
Personally, the only way I can survive being a Cowboys fan is to expect to eventually be let down. I don’t feel it makes me any less of a fan, its more about self preservation.
There beside you, Sarge...this fan grew up fighting for equality in the NFL and throughout sport. You bet, Sir!I never give up because my expectations have been the same for the past 28 years. I just keep rooting for the Cowboys and when they lose, they lose…..
Hey, that's being a white guy, huh...I’ll still be pissed, but I won’t be on here saying “I told you we would win“. I’ll be “I can’t believe it“ and can they actually do it again against Baltimore.
Now explain away all the actual and competitive off seasons that DID have competitive playoffs but not part of YOUR 'new' math? Back 'em or don't...that is your deal. The season never mattered. Only the post season matters. The only judgements on Dak and the rest of the team will come from the next few weeks.
Nope. I wait til year is over to assessIt wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.
What's your story.
Or like yourself, lacking in team design, leadership elements, talent levels...and the principals that work in single game management...not myths based more on personal emotional attachments. No, the sport is for real. So are the Cowboys.Anyone who has watched us play the last 5 weeks and thinks we are a tier 1 team is a homer. If you want to call someone who has been a fan 45 years a bandwagon fan because they can realistically appraise our chances then have at it.

Christ, every team in the NFL has should haves to boast about...and that is without argument.Should’ve is something tier 2 teams say.
You don't believe and haven't believed in discussion since the start of season four years ago...just back on ignore. Biased with an opinion. Put anyone you choose on ignore. You don't discuss to begin with...just complain.Best off if you just ignore him.
This is BS.You don't believe and haven't believed in discussion since the start of season four years ago...just back on ignore. Biased with an opinion. Put anyone you choose on ignore. You don't discuss to begin with...just complain.
Maybe YOU can explain how Dallas loses the next two AT&T games. You can't, you don't discuss.
The season has always come down to playoffs. Time will tell.It wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.
What's your story.
Settled for 5th and not being able to beat SF on the road in the playoffs. Wrong on the first....we'll see on the latter. Hopefully wrong again. It wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.

Your whistling past the graveyard if you aren't as down about Buffalo and Miami.Darkest moments were the Eagles and 49ers losses.
49ers loss... thought they would at least be competitive. Remember, we were off to a great start along with 49ers beginning of the year vs other teams.
Eagles loss... close game that I thought we blew. Both games we could have sent a message that it was a different Cowboys team, but looking back, I think we had the right balance of adversity.
Not as down after the Buffalo or Miami losses but knew that Detroit was a must win game.
Sometimes in sports, it's about luck as much as hard work, smart play, and talent. I felt the luck start to go our way in Detroit's game and it hasn't stopped yet.
