JJ broke me of getting high on any season many years ago. I never set my expectations high because as history has shown, it will be a let down. Win a SB and another plaque will go on the wall in the office. Do not win a SB and just another year of JJ playing GM. I still watch every game and root for them.

Just think if they win this year and next year.

It wasn't the loss to the 9ers, or even the Eagles, but there were a few dark moments after the back to back Bills and Dolphins. I did settle for 5th place.
But this team weathered the storm clouds and grabbed the East.

What's your story.
My story? Still laughing at people that totally gave up the season last year when Dak went down.
"TANK NOW!" they said. Many of the same people that lecture others about supporting Dak.

This year? Well...I'm supporting the team and cheering them on just as I have done every single season for 50+ years.

I’ll still be pissed, but I won’t be on here saying “I told you we would win“. I’ll be “I can’t believe it“ and can they actually do it again against Baltimore.
So you’ve given up and declared you’re a bandwagon fan.

The Lions game. They almost blew it.
The home playoff loss to the 49ers 2 years ago.

There have been others.

Now go crawl under your mommy's skirt

We haven’t done a thing.

The season is not done and the NFC East shirts and hats are for losers which considering the past we should probably wear.

A little harsh?

Not after 28 years.

No, I didn't give up on the season. Neither did I believe Dallas would end up winning the division.

Like I have posted a couple of times, I watch the games and take what happens - be it good or bad.

Winning the East (due largely to the Iggles collapsing down the stretch) was always a possibility, but it was a matter of the way other teams did as well. If Philly hadn't fallen apart in December (or revealed their true self?) Dallas winning yesterday would have been more like the Saints winning - a nice feeling but useless as far as getting to where they wanted to be - the East champ for Dallas and in the playoffs for NO.

So now what? Good and bad.

Good: Dallas is the no. 2 seed, could have two games at home.
Philly came out with possibly two significant injuries to key players, Hurts and Brown. If Tampa beats them, we get Tampa and an erratic (and injured) Baker Mayfield
Only one injury of note to Dallas, and Gilmore says he'll be good to go Sunday.

Bad: If Dallas wins 2, have to go to SF, where it's been a horror zone for our Cowboys for the last few years.
First opponent is GB, no Rodgers but they're a team on the rise, have a good running quarterback, always hard to deal with.

Looks like it'll be time to buckle up your chinstrap either way!

The season never mattered. Only the post season matters. The only judgements on Dak and the rest of the team will come from the next few weeks.

I always had faith that the Cowboys would be where they are at the end of the regular season. I saw many of you giving up and it was frustrating to watch.

Like most I was resigned to 5th place and all road playoff , but never expected this eggles collapse - Lovely .( Especially after Bills debacle, The Miami game would have been different if not that Lupeke fumble )

Anyone who has watched us play the last 5 weeks and thinks we are a tier 1 team is a homer. If you want to call someone who has been a fan 45 years a bandwagon fan because they can realistically appraise our chances then have at it.

We are the #2 seed because the Eagles imploded and went 1-5 down the stretch, not because we have looked fantastic.
