Can you name five (5) current NFL players that play for the game and NOT the money

They all play for the money. It's like asking yourself, why do you go to work?? But if there's anybody there for the love of the game it's the people who cover kicks for the league minimum. People like that.

They still get paid, and can make a real good living off of returning kicks. I think there are some, I mean they are people like anyone else. Regular folks play golf on the weekend, in their foursome, really hard. Work related softball leagues exist cause people like to compete.

Semi-pro football leagues where if a player gets hurt, they are responsible for paying for their care. This type of football, you better love the game, cause there is not much else there, I have a friend that does this, and they get paid almost nothing. Heck, I am in one of the most competitive fantasy bball leagues there is, and we spend days researching it for no money at all.

These athletes are people too, and there are a few that would do it regardless. I just named the best 5 off the top of my head.

I can't think of any, but it certainly isn't gonna be TO ;)

I am being totally open about this... why not TO?

This guy wanted his fair market value(like the other WR's)... he plays for the love of the game.

Not for nothing but........If we didn't pay to see them or care this much about them,, then they wouldn't warrant this kind of exposure which equals salaries and then they ( owners would be forced not to pay them ). Its all our Fault if you want it back to the day of the "Love of the game, " There has to be a major crash of whats happening now. Look at baseball its sucks same teams always in the playoffs, if your KC or Pitt you know you have no shot, Football is still popular because of the cap and gambling but eventually the pendulum will swing and hopefully we will have it back to the Days of the love of the game. Or at least I speak for myself I can hope

Right, I guess the Tigers, A's, Twins, Mets and Dodgers all make the playoffs year after year.

Come back when you have a clue.

When was the last time the Tigers were in the playoffs?

You are wrong, the same teams dont even come close to making the playoffs every year, you can admit you are wrong now.

Many players love the game. Enjoy the job. Have fun. Gee, that would be great for those of us in not so fun jobs.

But like every job you have in life you want to be paid fairly.

It is just that simple.

My post is simple because this is a simple issue.

I do a good job. Pay me fairly.

I am a bum. Well, hit the road.

I am a good player, but I don't give it my all and still want to be paid top dollar. Sorry, no top dollar cash. Oh, free agency you may get it.

I am a good player, give my heart. Sometimes you still get the shaft from your team. Bummer, as it happens in life.

I am an OK player, but because I give it my heart, well I am just about as good as anybody out there. Recognize me, and pay me. Love you bud.

Well, on and on.

This is a dumb thread.

We all know the prima donna's and the guys that show up. But we all want to be paid fairly. In football terms that is big bucks.

5 right now:

Keyshawn Johnson
Tom Brady
Joe Horn
Hines Ward
Torry Holt

And those are just some of the stars. There are plenty of Linemen on both sides of the ball that could be considered underpaid. Most TEs, any FB.

You could have posted just the bold and I would have agreed. But, I do agree with the rest.
