Oy Si Baby, Canady has to stay, in the short time i have seen him, he is a football player. And the best part is he wasn't a part of the miserable defense last year. Brown does need to go. We've seen what he can do and he is not a difference maker. Time to say adios to Brown, make some room for the young pups who need playing time.

I think they go light somewhere else and list Goodwin as a specialist. So everyone on that list honestly.

Robinson and Kyron Brown will be the PS corners unless they poach someone else.
Brown looks decent actually. But its funny how last week Canady was a jag on here and Anthony Brown was some safred cow smh

I'm just happy to see players that want it, as opposed to just showing up and acting like they deserve to be treated like champions.

Dare I say the culture has changed?

That's one thing I won't buy into until I see it 100 times over.

Brown has not looked decent

Brown sucks... all this talk about Canady, fine...let him have some lights thrown on him the next couple pre-season games. Let's see how he does. I think it is great. Fight hard, get your chance...either poo or get of the pot. Brown has been on the pot doing pretty much nothing for a couple years!

I don't see the Cowboys having the luxury of a player who just plays special teams like Goodwin on the roster this year.
Same with Fb. I just don't see how one cuts a young player with potential at a position like OL, DL, or WR for a FB who likely won't even be active game day.

i thought Kyron was a vet ... no matter.. but i frankly did not understand why we signed him up anyway ..with all the rookies needing reps , left over vets in Brown, lewis already here, Goodwin and now cannaday... Brown's not gonna be on this 53.

If we go light at another position ... what unit would that be ? .. one less TE ? we really need depth all units

Yes, they do. I really would be looking for a trade of Brown or Lewis by the cut-down deadline if Goodwin is a STs lock. Or make Canady a 4th safety, dude looks good in run situations as well.

Not me,
as i said in a previous thread, i'm eating that ridiculous salary i gave Lewis and Brown, for sake of emergency injury depth..for this year.
Because you never know when a rash of unexpected injuries to the CB unit will/could occur.

but if Cannaday out performs either Brown and Lewis - especially if he can both slot and outside - he's the new 3rd CB role to me.

He’s a traits guy which is what you look for in down roster players. Physical traits that pop and give you a ball of clay to mold. Kyron has been injured a bit but his pure physical traits are up there.

He won’t be anywhere near 53, but as a young traits guy who’s popped a few times he seems destined for the practice squad.

I’m not sure where they’ll go short, they had only 2 RB’s at one point though I don’t see them being able to sneak Dowdle to the practice squad. Maybe 2 QB’s if Rush and Nooch don’t take a step. Gilbert might be the only 53 material.

Going to be quite a decision.

He has according to guys who have actually been @camp watching every day. Both Broaddus and Cavanaugh.

that means nothing. Here sucks when he goes against other teams

You said he hasn't looked good in camp. I referenced two well-known sources that say he has.

He didn't have a good year in '20, but that's not what we are talking about.

our CBs cant even cover their guys but he comes off his guy to make an INT,that is really good and i wish he had played last year.
Diggs, Joesph, and Wright can cover their guys.

Brown can be the official bench warmer. That should be his role on this team.
I'm thinking that that they should trade Brown or the corner from Michigan and let the young guys play and keep Reggie Robinson on the team. I like what I am seeing from Diggs, Joesph, Wright, and Canady.

@Cowboyny 's argument was he chose Canady over Goodwin to make the team on Special Teams. That was why so many disagreed. Canady should make the team based solely on his CB performance, but he's definitely not a better Special Teamer than Goodwin.
How do we know that though? Why do we act like special teams players are hard to find?
