Per a contact I have that covers the Giants. I know he's not a Cowboy anymore, but I figured some would want to know.

Start rueing.

For a second there I thought he was still a Cowboy and my heart sank. Sucks for him, though (if true).

Sorry, I don't feel bad for anything that happens to the Giants or their players

Couldnt of happened to a better person.

I was relieved when we couldn't agree to an extension at the scouting combine before free agency started.

I never thought Chris Canty became the player he was capable of being with the Cowboys, but I don't hold it against him for getting top dollar on the open market.

Tom Coughlin revealed today that the hamstring injury that has sidelined defensive tackle Chris Canty the last few weeks is actually a torn hamstring “that’s not progressing the way we want it to.”
Coughlin called it a “serious” injury that will keep him out of practice this week, and presumably out of Saturday night’s game against the Jets.
Canty, of course, has yet to play in a preseason game and only got in a few training camp practices before suffering his injury. He had expressed optimism that his return to the field would be quick, though the fact that no information on it was coming out of the Giants organization was seemingly a sign that the injury was worse than it appeared.
Canty signed a six-year, $42 million contract with the Giants at the start of free agency and was supposed to be a big part of the Giants’ defensive line rotation and their revamped defense. His absence — along with those of DT Fred Robbins (knee) and DT Rocky Bernard (hamstring) for much of camp — has hampered plans for the Giants to develop that unit.
Those injuries are also why Coughlin, in a conference call this afternoon, spoke out against the media coverage of his team’s supposed depth.
“For so long we’ve been (reading) ‘We’ve got so much depth,’” Coughlin said. “I don’t know what you’re watching, but the guys that are supposed to be the depth have hardly even practiced. Some have practiced, but some haven’t played. I think you’re talking about something that looks good but hasn’t really materialized. This depth that we’re talking about really is a non-factor right now.”

I dont hold getting paid against any player. I do hold going to a divisional rival and talking smack about a few of the players on the Cowboys afterward against him.

I don't wish this upon anyone but I do HATE the Giants. I am SO glad we didn't sigh him to another contract. I really do think Olshanksy will do just fine. I wonder if the Giants are stating to worry a bit about the talent on their team?

:laugh2: I feel for Canty or any other injured guy, but that cracked me up.

Because of one torn hamstring? Probably not.

He should be able to watch the screen and the live action at the same time.
