I don't know if I'd consider this a huge character issue or not to be honest. He had some words exchanged in a bar where emotions always run higher than normal due to a fueled alcohol content. He left the hotspot and was basically sucker-punched a short while later. I think the term 'brawl' should be exchanged for 'cheap-shot' as he obviously did not instigate the physical nature of the offense.

Unless he has other run-ins or coaching issues, I don't think I'd be concerned with his character at this point. The injury history is more of a red flag for me.

Hopefully he learned his lesson. Nothing good happens to players after midnight hanging out at bars and strip joints.

I would think if if was THE Chris Canty from Virginia that this story would be front page on ESPN and other main stream media outlets. Seeing as how it originated from Pro Football Talks Rumor Mill I'd think it was the washed up Canty from K State.
