plenty.......it will get done but there is nogreat rush......he's a RFA that doesn't really have any options but to play for the tender he was given....I think that Jerry/Stephen will get him signed somethime before the mid-point of the season

He'll be resigned. I think Hamlin and TO will be taken care of first, then they'll get to Canty and making sure they get Ware locked up long term as well.

Ware isn't a big problem as he won't be going anywhere -- we could reasonably use the Exclusive Franchise tag on him and it would be a bargain.

I have probably underrated Canty his 1st couple of years in the league -- I would love to steal him away and put him at DT next to Montgomery.

ppl 4get Canty should have been a first round draft pick... except for the eye injury he has first round talent!

Is he playing like a 1st rounder? yes... can he play better? Oh yeah! I would love to see higher sack n pressure totals... prodution in pass D from a 3-4 DE is almost unfair!

Sure we've got money left to sign Canty. Don't forget that the Cowboys were working on a deal to get Hamlin signed the same day they signed Newman & MBIII but couldn't get it done. Definitely want Canty & TO done; hopefully also Hamlin. Think we'll hold off until 09 season to resign Ware while we circumvent the new CBA situation.

the deadline has already passed for him to be able to sign with anyone else, so it really is only a matter of him hoping for a new deal before he signs.
