I bet the issue with both Steele and CeeDee is they want top 5 positional money while the Cowboys are offering top 10. Both players will probably bet on themselves.

Trevon’s deal was a thing of beauty. I’m confident he’ll continue getting these done.
If you consider caving and paying the max a thing of beauty sure. Just wait two years from now Diggs will hold out yet again because his guaranteed money will be gone and his base salary will be 9 million. This stuff is so predictable these days it isn't even funny.

He’s the 5th highest paid corner lol, he didn’t get the max. What are you saying?

Oh goodie toodie, that kind of top salary desires and injuries are what destroyed the Dynasty, not Jerry!

Oh no Dallas has good players! And they want to be paid! How will we recover from this shocking development?
Being able to handle just this and still maintain unhindered drafting ability is major for this team now!

I’d say he’s been hit or miss at best.
Everyone is hit or miss. You don’t maintain winning seasons and improve rosters by signing the wrong guys over and over.

Outside of Zeke (who I think was a very Jerry involved negotiation), there haven’t been any egregious signings.

Bad signings would be Jaylon

Signings that seemed fine at the start but ended up being a mixed bag or not working: La’el and Amari

Good players signed but botched negotiations: Dak

Good contract good players: Martin, Diggs, LVE, the safeties, veteran deals to guys like Brown and Lewis (5M per year over 3 years to each).

Undecided: Gallup, upcoming Lamb/Parsons, tough contractual evals like Biadisz/Steele.

This is about as good as a track record as any productive GM outside of the elite ones. Everyone has some mistakes but for the most part we pay good players and always have the money to pay who we want.

I do believe we will be going on 3 years in a row of double digit wins. You don’t sustain winning like that with bad cap management. We’ll see how the next 2-3 years go as well.

Are salaries getting up into the venue arenas for NBA Stars now?
Quadruple present day NFL player salaries would remain irrelevant in this instance involving the family run, privately owned, Dallas Cowboys. Of course, Micah Parsons or any other player with the financial means could attempt purchasing a minority stake in the franchise IF and AFTER Jones sold the team. That particular likelihood is FAR less likely than Bruce Willis saving Earth from Armageddon.

Stephen Jones mentioned CeeDee Lamb and Terence Steele as potential contract extensions the team is “working hard” to get done.
No reason for this to linger into the regular season. Sit down face to face like they with Martin and figure it out.

If the Cowboys were working that hard on those deals they would have already been done by now. So I'm calling BS on that.

Biadasz too, no?
I keep wondering why the Cowboys don't include Biadasz. My speculation is that they are prepared to move on from Biadasz, just liked they moved on from Connor Williams and Connor McGovern. Maybe it is the Center they will be looking for in the 2024 draft, and that is their plan to keep the costs down.

I keep on thinking that Biadasz is as important to this team as was Stepnoski back when.

It's a tight rope along with keeping the pressure on building a top shelf team into the win-it-all mode now.
