Come, come to the dark side...:)

needs to be a hard top and no racing stripes. Ironically my best friend is a Ford fanatic. The Cobra's (what it should still be named) are fast and mean, I'd have no problems owning a 03-04 Cobra Mustang, those ones were beasts.

I like that Mustang and I actually even looked at one when I was car shopping. The problem I had with it is you couldn't see crap out of the windows. It was like the windows were 18 inch high or something. I felt like I could only see 20% of what was around me.

Hoping it's just a crash test, but most likely someone died in that...

Face first into a semi will usually do the trick.

In the market for a new car. Just recently started looking around my current car still in good working order after 9 years but felt it was time to start looking. Right now have my eye on the 2010 Camaro SS with the 426-hp, 6.2-liter V8.

sweet

could you leave me that in your will?

Insurance, gas, car payments...speeding tickets, new tires every year. Registration fees, state/local taxes.

You ready for all that? And, 31,000 gets you behind the lowest priced car...no additional add on, like stereo, disc player, leather seats, etc.
Shop around. Find out the REAL dealer cost and pit one dealer against the other and pay no more than $500. over dealer invoice. Screw sticker price.

Years ago I worked as a salesman at Lute Riley Honda in Richardson, TX. Had this one couple come in and unfortunately they defaulted to me as their saleman. Well, these people had done their homework and they were not leaving us alone until they got what they wanted at the price they had decided on, which was $500. over dealer cost.

They worked me over for a solid week taking up valuable time and treating me like crap. Finally after seeing them everyday for 7 straight, it looked like they had finalized their deal. I was so sick of this couple I could puke. The last day I kinda snapped and said something derogatory to them and they told the management that if they didn't take me off the deal they weren't going to buy. They got what they wanted. *#$@* :(

In the end, management told me this couple probably couldn't have gotten a better deal. $500. over dealer cost.

So having said all that, it is possible to get a great deal on a new car if you know what your talking about the dealership knows you know what your talking about and you refuse to budge.

It sad how much money dealerships make on the front and back end of a car deal when they are dealing with uninformed buyers.

If consumers had the chance to sit in on the training class I had at the beginning of my tenure at LRH, they would never pay what they do for a new car.

It has been said that numbers never lie, but on a car deal that could never be further from the truth.

The numbers lie.

Yeah, usually when you go from the driver's seat to the trunk in .05 seconds, that usually happens :)
