The Cardinals are expected to release FS Antrel Rolle this week.

The sides have been negotiating a contract extension, but cutting Rolle will allow the Cards to avoid paying his impending $4.1 million roster bonus. It may also very well cost them their starting free safety. Rolle, will become an unrestricted free agent and generate interest because of his play-making ability. The 27-year-old has 10 interceptions over the past three years. Feb. 21 - 8:46 pm et

Hes definetely better than what we have but how much money does he want?

This is the deepest Safety draft class i've seen in awhile so if he wants a huge pay day I think I would just go with youth and bring in a rookie and coach them up.

After watching the Cards agains GB and the Saints I don't think I want anyone who was even associated with that defense.

That's a really dumb statement.

Green Bay got torched in that Arizona game too.

So, by your logic, you wouldnt take Woodson or Collins.

The ideal move, IMHO, would be to move down a few spots from #27 and take Nate Allen. But I'd draft him in the first without moving if it came to that. Another defensive playmaker I love in the round one is Kyle Wilson. With today's passing offenses, you can't have enough playmakers in the secondary, and I see no reason not to put another corner on the field in nickel situations instead of a safety, if a corner is the better player.

Or just have Rolle and Sensabaugh with Mike Hamlin and Chris Cook backing them up:D

Doesn't matter. Jerry saves 5 million dollars(in real money) by cutting Hamlin.

Give Rolle watever he wants. Jerry's loaded.

give him what is the max deal we can do? 5.5m a season, ya give him that and release Ken Hamlin.

I guess it just depends who you think is gonna make more plays, Allen or Rolle. If ya go with the young guy you've got the position taken care of for 10 years instead of five.
