I don't know why people remember the good about OBJ and not the good about DHop.

Playing on a bad team with no QB, of course DHop didn't have numbers.

This logic just doesn't make any sense.

And again, it only takes two teams to create a bidding war.

Zeke stinks, Hopkins is still very good and plays a premium position. If he gets less than $15m, it's because he took a discount somewhere.

If it’s going to take someone getting hurt for him to get an opportunity, he’s not about to get $15 million for one season or a partial season. The closer we get to training camps the more urgent he’s going to be about signing with someone. If he attempts to play hardball he’ll be sitting on the couch watching games until someone does get hurt and is offered a reasonable deal to come in. Hopkins is still a good player but he’s not worth 15 million per season. As for Zeke how can he stink if he put up almost 900 yards in 15 games with 12 TDs? He may not be near what he was, but he certainly doesn’t stink. Neither him or Hopkins are the players they were or they wouldn’t have been released.

I have a car that was in better shape five years ago. That doesn’t mean I forgot what used to be good about it. It just means I understand how cars work.

It’s a lot easier to remember what a player did in the playoffs and Super Bowl than in week 8 of the regular season, which was the last great game Hopkins had. How does that not make sense? We’re arguing about a receiver that no one traded for and was released.

Because it's not hard to remember last season.

No, but if the alternator died twice and it's been sitting in the garage for 18 months and without being driven, you'd probably bet that your daily driver from 6 months ago is more likely to start.

Ok? And then 5 quarterbacks got more money than him by AAV.

I'm not sitting here saying OBJ is overpaid. I'm saying that DHop isn't going to come in lower than him because of how last year ended.

OBJ wasn't half the wr Hopkins has been. Now I don't know how much either have left, but in the right place DHop is hard for me to count out.

After he came back from suspension last year, Hopkins was on pace(if he had played 17 games) for 1350 yards with a 3rd string QB. He’s still got it

I don’t disagree that Hopkins is a better receiver than OBJ, but he’s a volume possession guy at this point in his career. He would be an upgrade over Gallup, but not Lamb or Cooks.

The issue is whether he would want to come into that situation (Dallas wasn’t on his short list, so it doesn’t sound like it), and how much a #3 receiver who can’t run the same anymore is worth to a team that already has one on a big contract.
