Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin may get his wish to be traded. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Wednesday the team is willing to listen to offers.

"Before the draft, you know there is going to be talk about Anquan and his situation and a trade," Whisenhunt said. "Since not a whole lot has changed with his contractual situation, we know that will come back. It would be foolish from out standpoint not to listen to those opportunities and see what actually exists. But I want to make the points -- our goal is to re-sign him to a long-term deal. That hasn't changed."Boldin continues to bring up the idea of a trade. With contract talks at a standstill, the Cardinals can listen to offers before the draft. The Eagles and Giants might be at the top of the list.
Boldin is considered a No. 1 wide receiver so it could cost a No. 1 and No. 3 draft choice to acquire him.

**** It would have been nice to have given what we gave for R.Williams instead to the Cardinals for Boldin. Just my opinion. :bang2:

I can see him getting traded, but not at that price. Our brass happens to be the only one stupid enough to give up that price for a whiny WR.

From what I've heard that Steve Breaston has made Bouldin expendable.

If Roy Williams brings it i'll take him over Boldin.

And im not being a homer.

I had my Boldin pom poms out before he ever entered the draft and still wanted us to draft him even though he dropped a 4.7 40.

Did you guys know that Boldin wasn't even the 1st receiver the Cardinals took in that draft?

They took another kid from Penn State. His name slips my mind though.

Bryant Johnson. I think he was on the Whiners last year.

especially when Williams probably would have gotten out of Detroit after this season anyway. If the Lions tagged him, we still would have have to give up at least a first and third, so we lost in the end.

I'd give up Williams in a heartbeat. One season wonder with freakishly large injury prone feet for a proven elite deep threat with toughness.

I'm not sure I would call Boldin a deep threat. Fitz is the home run hitter on that squad. But Boldin is one of the BEST YAC guys since TO. He's a monster.

On the other hand, Boldin's metrics against #1 CB's is awful. He does all his damage against #2 CBs.

The Cardinals are going to want a first rounder and I can't blame them.

What about giving them next year's first rounder? I can't imagine anything we pickup in the draft would be anywhere close to what we would have by bringing Boldin on board... I'm just dreaming out loud.

lol there's no way that happens. They are going to want an 09 first rounder not one that's 1 year from now. I wanted Boldin last year instead of Roy but oh well..I hope Roy breaks out into his old pro-bowl self.
