Cardinals to Listen to offers for Boldin

I think people forget that Boldin was leading the league in both yards and TDs last year before he got hurt. He and Fitz' numbers are about the same lately.
I'm SO pulling for Roy, but right now I don't think he is anywhere near Boldin. I'm be so happy if/when he proves me wrong.

Arizona wide receiver Anquan Boldin was on the Michael Irvin Show (103.3 FM) this afternoon talking about his charity and trade rumors.

Boldin said he's open to getting traded to any team, especially to the NFC East, where the Eagles and Giants need a elite receiver.

Boldin, who said he just has a player-coach relationship with former Cardinals coordinator Todd Haley, said he wouldn't mind playing for him in Kansas City.

As for getting traded Boldin said, "I just want to get it resolved, it's been going on way too long." Later he said, "it would hurt but at the same time, change is necessary. My only problem has been management, always has been."

Boldin said quarterback Kurt Warner texted him last night and the two spoke about the future of the franchise. Warner, according to Boldin, is worried.

The NFC East is tough enough with some of the best running backs in the game running around, and now adding Boldin to the mix, makes it even harder.

that's interesting, since I saw Haley on at least 2 occasions shoot Boldin down and get in his face

I guess Boldin isn't the malcontent that I thought he was, or at least he doesn't hold grudges like TO

I think Miles Austin and his speed will be opposite # 11 next year. The offense should be fine.

I don't think Boldin is a malcontent. His teammates and coaches are cool with him and he works hard. He comes across that way mainly due to the contract stuff in the press--which was in poor taste.

I'm putting my money on the Jets getting this guy. Not only will I love it because the Eagles won't get him but the Jets are always the dark horse in these trades. They came out of nowhere in the Brett Favre saga and they are going to pry Boldin away this year.

They NEED a reciever..so much that they were tempted at giving up a 2nd for MILES AUSTIN!. Can anyone name their #1 reciever? I can see them trading that 17th pick along with something else to get him. They might believe that Boldin is better than any other reciever they could get at 17 so why not? I really hope they are in the mix to grab him.

Can anyone name the #1 QB there?

If you average out Roy Williams stats for the 5 games he was in Detroit over a 16 game schedule, he would have posted: 54 catches, 742 yards. Not horrible stats for the #2 WR in a run heavy offense.

Basically Crayton 2007 numbers over 13 starts, not worth all the money and certainly not the draft picks. Plus he was supposedly injured (at a mysterious point), so, to be fair, he wouldn't have even put up those numbers. We didn't need to overpay for him last year. His raw numbers without extrapolation just don't add up to what we paid for him. Like I said, let's see what he can do without any excuses in 2009.

maybe if Romo actually threw him the ball he woulda had better numbers.

I'm sure that's part of it, but he also seemed to run some pretty piss-poor routes.

I heard Anita Marks on 105.7 the Fan (Baltimore station, listening on the commute home) saying the Ravens went from being a dark horse to the front runner for Boldin. She said her source is reliable. Just passing it on.

She also mentioned that the cards want this over before the draft, so expect something sooner rather than later.

Dude, that would be SWEET if the Ravens got him..it does make sense though. Mason is that deep threat and Flacco needs a security blanket WR. I'm sure the Cards want him to go to an AFC team over an NFC team(Eagles and Giants). Please let this happen..Please:pray:

Just a little tidbit...

Remember the Ravens traded for Owens in 2004..only to lose him to Philly because of that messy situation?? I think they get back at them this time with Boldin!
