Carl Banks is a jerk. Anyone hear his Hall of Fame speech? He was still *****ing that he should have been kept at DT because he would have made a great one. Is that lame or what?

Besides, Banks is a former Giant. Now that BP is gone, what reason would he have to talk nice about the Cowboys?

He ended the segment claiming that if we begin seeing Jerry on the sidelines during the season then it's Dave Campo all over again.

I'm not saying Wade is a great head coach, but Campo isn't in the same league as Wade. I think people forget that not including the interim stints, Wade is 45-35 as a head coach, with only one losing season. And the teams he coached weren't exactly stacked with talent or coming off good seasons.

like I told a Commander fried of mine...none of this will stop the inevitable....except for the ONE year when Vinny was the QB...we started ....8-3...7-4....and 8-4. There is enough talent in Dallas to win 10 games. Going from 10 wins to 12 wins is where coaching and health come into play. Guys were not healthy and/or we were outcoached near the ends of seasons. I expect most of our guys to be healtheir because they will not be beat up during the season and they will not be playing 15 - 20 pounds heavier than they would like to play. They will be shooting gaps instead of going mano vs mano. We will push the ball down the field more and AVOID having to win the game in the 4th quarter.

It's kinda like when Switzer took over...it did not matter that he was a dunce...we were super talented. Now I am not saying we have the talent we had in 1995, but we have enough..so outsiders should stop holding their breath on Wade letting this team flush itself because he is a players coach.

The days of 5-11 and DAve Campo are long gone..although many outsiders fail to recognize that. They also failed to recognize that the lack of draft picks, bad drafting and ZERO cap room were bigger factors in us being 5-11..moreso than the Dave Campo factor.

We are back..not all the way back...but we are back and I FULLY expect us to win our first playoff game in years!

i dont know about that. that was a pretty unique and crappy time in cowboys history (campo, gailey) era. Our team is way more talented than that team was. So hopefully we wont have to go through that again , for atleast 6-7 years.

Tell me why I have to provide examples or links to state my opinion on a situation? That's right I did say "I think" not "This WILL happen".

One thing hasn't changed; there are a significant number of posters waiting to say I told you so on at least one of the following:
  • TO will destroy the team/run over Phillips
  • Phillips was the wrong hire (nevermind who would have been)
  • JuJo sucks/Barber should start/we should trade for (fill in here)
  • Jerry can't wait to get back to the days where he's pulling all the strings
  • Romo isn't a blue-chip talent, he won't work out and we still need a quarterback
I don't see that any of this is likely to happen, but some folks can't let go apparently. I'll let it play out; until after Thanksgiving we won't have the complete story unless the team completely collapses out of the gate. TC hasn't started, but we'll go through analysis by paralysis anyway.

What a show.

Makes me wonder what TO stories Bill tells his buddies that never make out to the public. I bet there are some good ones.

It really doesn't bother me that Jethro goes down to the sidelines, he did that when Jimmah was coaching, so I don't think that matters too much, but I agree with pretty much everything else that Banks had to say. I think some of those players ESPECIALLY T.O. will take advantage of Wade!

So by saying this you are saying that T.O will be a distraction the year thus ruining his chances of being a Pro Bowl WR?

I don't get it.

Why would he jeopardize a good thing? He is getting his money. That's what it all was about in Philly. Most of it anyways. Ill leave McChunk out of this.

Look - Ill take his stupid side show all day if he gets 1300+ and 15 TD's and 80+ catches. ALL DAY !!

Im sorry- thats fact tho. So would 90% of Cowboy Nation.

Producing like that on the field and being a freak WR will make people forget he dressed like Lance Armstrong. For crying out loud, he is not drunk shooting up strip clubs somewhere. Be thankful.

He should of put on a 99 cent wig under the helmet, then it would of been funny and not distracting. Just ask Clitnon Portis

Who cares about what Carl Banks has to say, he has nothing to do with the Dallas Cowboys organization and never will. If a guy like Emmitt Smith or Troy Aikman said then I'd care somewhat....
I would care too, but until it comes from somebody in the organization or even possibly a beat writer, its meaningless.

The order of the coaching hires by Jerry tells T.O one thing IMO. First he is going to have to manipulate and run over Garrett. I just don't see T.O manipulating Garrett and even making it to Wade in the first place.

I think T.O. knows Garrets place in this organization and I just can't see him going over Garretts head to either Jerry or Wade. Garrett runs this offense and everyone knows that at this point. Garrett and Romo will keep T.O. very content IMO.

Hope you're right bud, it'd be nice to have peace and harmony among players and coaches while the kick other team's hiney's.
