He had the second best scoring defense his third year here when he took the reigns from Brian Stewart and they won their first playoff game in 17 years... He wasn't even totally coaching it his first two years here. He wanted Stewart to do that, with him overseeing it.

It was the offense and all its TOs that was the primary problem.

And Wade has Bradie James and Akin Ayodele, Jacques Reeves and Anthony Henry left over from Parcells era... They couldn't stop a screen pass when Parcells was here.

And Denver's defense was average last year..
